I wouldn't read this author again- hackneyed writing. Wish I had spend more time reading other's reviews.
Jo Nesbo leaves no details unturned. Sometimes a bit confusing to follow but always manages to tie it together well.
Can't put the book down! Almost walked into traffic while listening! Story comes alive with the narrator.
I really enjoyed Curtis Sittenfelds other books but man was this ever a pain to get through. The character is so neurotic- but still finished it. Sad story.
Kate Atkinson never lets you down. Such clever writing, sometimes sad and tender and other times gets your heart pounding. The BBC television series that went with Case Histories is awesome too.
Bianca reads Ms. Fuller's story as if it were her own. This clever book is full of insight to central Africa history along personal experiences of adaptation. I loved the use of humor that lead the listener through hard time. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading Ms. Fuller's other "awful books"!!!!!
I loved that Conor read the story- no one could have told it better. I felt like I was there. I didn't want it to end.
Well written, excellent narrator. Story line okay- I love Ann Pachett, but this wasn't one of her best.
The story hooks you in and slowly untangles the mystery. It's well written in the same way the Lovely Bones was- strong characters, but not morbid and gruesome. A good listen and very well narrated.
An interesting idea of having a person be able to detach themselves so much from their past that you wonder if she is really seeing and experiencing the things that she does, or if it's in her head. Sad tale, interesting woven characters. At times a bit too long. I enjoyed it, but wouldn't make it my top pick.
