This book has it all - great dog story and great characters with a storyline that is good for all ages - young and old.
When the boy is given the job at the shelter.
Several times I cried but not a sad book.
Such a nice Christmas story that could have many people opening their hearts to our animal friends in need.
This is one of the best mysteries that I have listened to this year. The author is very knowledgeable with events in the storyline and weaves a fascinating story to go with these facts. The last few chapters will blow you away. The characters in this story are ones you will find very believable and I am hoping that he will continue writing using these characters in the future.
The characters were people that were very believable.
Can't pick just one scene - book builds up tension leading up to the final scene which is terrific.
Great Outdoor Suspense Story
I think this author has great talent and am waiting for his next book.
I liked both, but audio version I can listen to at night when I do not feel like reading a book and can also take with me in the car on trips to keep me entertained on boring drives.
I enjoyed the interaction between Daisy and the Chief and what would happen next in their encounters. Interesting how the main plot with the danger of drugs is woven through the storyline - ending a surprise which is always good.
Did not like her as well as a previous version on tape that I bought years ago. She did a good job but other reader was better with voice changes for different characters.
More laughter and anticipation for the next encounter between the main characters.
Daisy is a really great female character in this book and one so many women will be able to relate to in looks, attitude, and feelings.
This is a beautiful story of an incredible man and how he deals with one of life's hardest diagnoses. He meets the diagnosis of an incurable cancer with a plan for his family's future and a way he can continue to be part of it. His life was one of very positive thinking that is a great example for how to live to the fullest even when life is short.
When he was stopped for speeding and his response to the Highway Patrolman. His reaction to the end result was such an insight into a great attitude.
The lecture itself and the description of the response to it. The girl getting the stuffed animal that fit her life situation perfectly.
No problem is insurmountable if you just keep a positive attitude and keep trying to find a way to solve it.
I keep this audiobook by my bedside for times when I feel life is overwhelming. Just listening to this man's attitude facing much worse trials helps me realize each day is another day to work on solving the problem and my blessings outweigh my trials.
Not sure, it just did not come up to the high standard Linda Howard has had in the past. The story line not credible, drags, character building not her usual and she has always put humor in her mysteries and this has none.
Her usual fans will not be those who enjoy it more so not sure who it would appeal to.
Yes, this has to be one of her total disconnects.
Not sure it was her performance or just how much the story line dragged.
It was finally over. If people like super secret spy agencies working outside of protocol this might appeal.
Storyline disjointed and rambling
Cry No More - Linda Howard
The reader did a good job with voices - she had child, female, male, foreign, etc.
It really dragged during escape from initial capture and during the safe house.
I have really liked this author in the past and think this is just a fluke that this one dragged and was not the usual cliff hanger.
Did not read print version, but think audio better for personalizing the individuals in the storyline.
Some of the Catherine Coulter series with Savich and Sherlock - good interplay between two main characters and good suspense.
Last scene after testifying.
Cannot run from the past
This was a surprise and probably one of my favorites. Have listened to twice and picked up some nuances missed the first time through.
