Great characters. Thoroughly enjoyable story, especially at this time of year. I found it difficult to stop listening when I needed to do other things.

Sharing inspiring stories from his own experiences as a circle maker, Mark Batterson will help you uncover your heart’s deepest desires and God-given dreams and unleash them through the kind of audacious prayer that God delights to answer.

This was a new way of thinking about the relationship between God and humans. Some of the things I didn't agree with. But most of my problem was the reader (author). He sounded like a TV paid advertisement spokesman. I felt he was trying to sell me something at the end of a long presentation.

Would you listen to A Knight in Shining Armor again? Why?

Yes. The plot in this book was different from other Gothic Romance books. It had a surprise twist - time travel - twice. There were very funny reactions by the lead characters to the year they found themselves in. Also each of the main characters had a story line or plot to follow. I am sure that I listened to the story for such a long period at a time, that I missed some points. I will most likely listen to this story again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Knight in Shining Armor?

    When history was changed.

Have you listened to any of Steve West’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Sometimes with other readers I notice when a man is trying to play a woman's part or vice versa. This reader was so good that I never really noticed an artificial change in voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The ending.

    Any additional comments?

This was one of my favorite books.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

What did you like best about Fifty Shades of Grey? What did you like least?

I liked some of the reactions of the main character by the narrator. They actually got more believable as the story progressed. But, for the most part, the narrator put emphasis on the wrong words which made the sentences somewhat awkward. I got impatient with the lead character probably because she was so naive and an airhead. Maybe younger readers can appreciate the story line better. I didn't like the narrator's voice for Christian Grey.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    I approved.

Would you be willing to try another one of Becca Battoe’s performances?

Not unless she was able to improve the flow of the sentences.

Could you see Fifty Shades of Grey being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It probably could be made into a movie. People believe just about any story premise these days. I don't know many 20-something movie stars, but anyone could play these characters.

    Any additional comments?

It's hard to believe a guy could amass that much money, business sense, flying credentials and various residences at such a young age (I know it has been done) and still be so smitten with a young girl just out of college. Also, the people who work for him act like mindless robots.

Would you listen to Wicked Nights again? Why?

I would listen again, possibly skipping some chapters. I liked the interaction between the angel and the girl. The demon fights were rather intense.

What other book might you compare Wicked Nights to and why?

This is the only book I have read that has interaction between human and angels. The demons were quite scary.

Which character – as performed by Max Bellmore – was your favorite?

I liked the angel character best. He was dealing with new experiences.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Angels - 1; Demons - 0

What made the experience of listening to Devil in Winter the most enjoyable?

Good story teller. Was able to bring the story to life.

What did you like best about this story?

I like stories in this time period and about the English aristocracy. It takes two people who thought they didn't like each other and changes their minds as events unfold.

Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not yet heard other stories she has done.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The entire story spun around the one 4-letter word. The situations were funny, but the 4-letter word made it impossible to listen to.

Would you ever listen to anything by Adam Mansbach and Ricardo Cortes (cover illustration) again?

Not unless the language is cleaned up considerably.

Would you be willing to try another one of Samuel L. Jackson’s performances?

    Doubtful.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disgust
