I've been listening to recorded books for 20 years, and this, by far, is the worst ever. The first half of the book is about the author's college days and early career. Who cares?! I fast-forwarded to the second half of the book to get some info about "What Happened?" And the narration was painful to listen to. Words like "ideals" pronounced "idills". AAARGH!!! He should never, ever, narrate anything again.
As usual Carl Hiaasen cracked me up. I listened to it while driving to Florida from Virginia. There I was going 80 mph, laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.
The developer trying to sell the house across the street from the main character. I knew that whenever he appeared in the story, something hysterically funny was going happen.
Hi deadpan delivery of the book.
I hope Carl is working on his next book.
