Professional “cleaner” Jonathan Quinn has a new client and an odd job: find and remove the remains of a body hidden 20 years ago inside the walls of a London building, before the building is demolished. But Quinn and his team are being watched. Suddenly caught in the cross fire between two dangerous rivals, Quinn must unravel the identity of the body and why it still poses so great a threat even in death.

What made the experience of listening to The Silenced the most enjoyable?

Picking up where book 1 left off, this second book keeps up the characters and story lines with spectacular consistency. I thoroughly enjoy this series

What disappointed you about The King's Deception?

The story line was OK but for a Cotton Malone series it was slow.

Would you recommend The King's Deception to your friends? Why or why not?

No. To slow and disjointed. Difficult to get into any flow.

What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Life. I always search for books read by Scott first, author second

    Any additional comments?

First book I have ever returned.

Anonymity. Trust. Professionalism. In his world, Jonathan Quinn has a few rules. He'll get rid of bodies that have to disappear; nothing ever gets traced back to him. But when Quinn is called to a busy Los Angeles port where a shipping container has just come in from the sea, it's clear his rules have been violated. Inside the crate is a dead man - a man who once saved Quinn's life.

If you could sum up The Deceived in three words, what would they be?

As the first book in the series, the story line and development of characters is fanatics. Not sure what the author does different, but it is very engaging

Mila Voss is dead. That’s what the team hired to terminate her had reported, and that’s how her file had been marked. Dead. Six years now. So why did she suddenly show up on a hotel’s security camera in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania? Those who’d paid for her elimination are more than a little curious. One person should know what happened—Jonathan Quinn, one of the best cleaners in the business, the man who’d been tasked with the disposal of her body. Only Quinn isn’t exactly easy to get ahold of these days.
