Follow the epic journey of Enoch the giant killer with his small band of family warriors who seek outlaw giants for bounty, but stumble upon a conspiracy of the Watchers that is so evil, it will change the universe forever if God does not stop them. You’ll meet some of the beloved characters from Noah Primeval when they were much younger, like Methuselah and Uriel, as well as the origin stories of the lead Watchers, Semjaza and Azazel who became the gods Anu and Inanna.

Warning: If you are not open minded, then this book is not for you. Brian Godawa takes minor and major characters from the Bible and embellishes the story and characters into a plausible tale. All I can say is, well, it could have happened that way. I am interested in seeing where it goes next.

One of the best Science Fiction books I have read in a long time. The Origin Mystery sounds like it will be the same story told again an again, but it is truly a unique tale of intrigue and mystery wrapped up in a Sci-Fi package. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading a well written story.

Best-selling author and Sookie Stackhouse creator Charlaine Harris crafts the eighth riveting tale starring Aurora "Roe" Teagarden. Roe's stepsister-in-law Poppy has achieved social distinction - she's been elected into the Uppity Women Book Club. Unfortunately, membership has its deadly consequences.

This was a good series. In each book, you could see the progression of growth in Charlaine Harris's writing skills. The mysteries were well thought out and I didn't know the identity of the killer until the end. Sure it was really dated; no cell phones at first, etc., but if you realize that the first books were written 20 years ago, then it doesn't feel so odd. I would recommend this series if you are looking for light reading.

This is probably the worst book I have ever read!! I kept thinking that it was one of those slow starters and it would get better. It never got better. I was so sure that it would get better and all the loose ends would come together that I read all 3 books. It was a big waste of my credits! A note to the authors: Don't introduce or narrate your own work. it is never a good idea.

As METAtropolis: Green Space moves into the 22nd Century, human social evolution is heading in new directions after the Green Crash and the subsequent Green Renaissance. Nearly everyone who cares to participate in the wired world has become part of the "Internet of things", a virtual environment mapped across all aspects of the natural experience. At the same time, the serious back-to-the-land types have embraced a full-on paleo lifestyle, including genetically engineering themselves and their offspring.

    Story

My husband and I always listen together and we both agreed that this book was amateurish and boring. The storyline is a good one and could have been a really good book, but the author's writing technique sounded like it had been written by a young girl writing her first story. The dialogue was stilted and unnatural. The narrator was completely wrong for the story, or maybe she could only do so much with the material given to her. I would be extremely wary of ever selecting this author or narrator again.

What disappointed you about Urban Shaman?

I expected this story to be of the same caliber as Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock, Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson or Carrie Vaughn's Kitty Norville. At the very least, give me a strong character, if not a strong storyline. The characters and story line were completely unbelievable. I love urban fantasy, but this put me to sleep, twice!

What was most disappointing about C.E. Murphy’s story?

What inspired me to select Urban Shaman was the fact that Faith Hunter and C.E. Murphy collaborated to write a story with Jane Yellowrock and Joanie Walker. I have not read that book and may not now that I have listened to Urban Shaman. It was a like expecting to eat ice cream only to discover that the milk used to make the ice cream was completely spoiled.

Have you listened to any of Christine Carroll’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't think so, but she did an excellent job.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment.

    Any additional comments?

I am not interested in listening to the rest of the series!
