For business leaders and public figures in any arena, The Speed of Trust offers an unprecedented and eminently practical look at exactly how trust functions in our every transaction and relationship - from the most personal to the broadest, most indirect interaction - and how to establish trust immediately so that you and your organization can forego the time - killing, bureaucratic check - and - balance processes so often deployed in lieu of actual trust.

What made the experience of listening to The Speed of Trust the most enjoyable?

The book has changed my outlook on life. Many of the principles discussed really struck home. I plan to refer to this book again and again as it's just so true and relevant.

What about Stephen R. Covey’s performance did you like?

His references to the quotes from many other notables.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

    Trust is everything.

    Any additional comments?

It was a difficult listen at times because there is just so much to absorb and also because of the of the readers oratory skill. I'm going to have to re-listen to it several times to retain the key points.

Why we think it’s a great listen: If you’ve ever loved a dog - or even patted a dog - this book, told from the perspective of man’s best friend, will tug at your heartstrings...and won’t let go until long after Welch performs the last word. Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: a philosopher with a nearly human soul (and an obsession with opposable thumbs), he has educated himself by watching television extensively and by listening very closely to the words of his master.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Art of Racing in the Rain to be better than the print version?

Being a dog owner I can appreciate the story told from the dog's viewpoint. Very engaging. Kept my interest through the whole thing. Happy and sad, with a few belly laughs in between. Highly recommended for anyone, but especially dog lovers.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Endo - because he's so smart and articulate.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Evan Welch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No. Don't know.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to it in the car as I commuted to and from work. I became so engrossed in it that I plugged in when walking the dogs nightly also.
