I would not suggest this book to someone who is just getting started in real estate investing, despite the title. Some of the concepts are slightly more advanced and the book lacks the step-by-step organization of other references. It includes several interesting tricks and examples, but it would be more time effective to start with a different book or skip this one all together. There are many other more suitable substitutes for those at the entry level of real estate investing.
Great listen--I highly recommend this to anyone in search of learning business strategies while concurrently being entertained. Like others said, the book does sometimes sound like an advertisement for Google. However, I gained a newfound respect for the business giant after listening to this. There were aspects of the business that occurred when I was too young to care, but the book did a great job to conclusively bring those subjects to light. Everyone knows how large Google has grown as a business, but I think few people realize how significantly they have changed the global economy.
