After the battle with the Sorcerer Guard, Gala and Blaise take shelter in the mountains, a place of unique beauty and danger. Augusta, however, is determined to exact revenge - even as Barson, her ambitious lover, implements his own plan. But amidst politics, battles, and intrigue, something far bigger is brewing...something that could disturb the balance of the Spell Realm itself.

I liked the part when Blaise and the hunters came up against these hybrid wolf bears. The wolf bears lead them into an ambush. Blaise saved the day by using sorcery. He throws a fireball at one of the hybrids. He also does mirror spell that makes the hybrids think they are seeing another pack of hybrids.

I did want to sit and listen to this book in one sitting. If I had the time I would have sat and listened to the book in one sitting.

Once a respected member of the Sorcerer Council and now an outcast, Blaise has spent the last year of his life working on a special magical object. The goal is to allow anyone to do magic, not just the sorcerer elite. The outcome of his quest is unlike anything he could've ever imagined - because, instead of an object, he creates Her.

My favorite part of the story was when Gala restored the girl severed hand and heeled the towns peoples hearing. Emily Durante's performance was awesome. She changed voices to match each character perfectly.I would listen to this story in one sitting.

I would recommend this audiobook to my friends because it is exciting and dramatic. My favorite characters are Gala and Blaise. I like Gala because she is really innocent. She isn't human but she seems to be following her heart. I like Blaise because he feels that everyone should have the same rights. I loved that the book was set in mid evil times. I have always enjoyed reading about magical books. I can't wait to read the next audiobook.
