For 14 years, alpha wolf Jason has watched his partially marked mate Cadence live her life without him. Circumstances force his hand and he must find a way to get her to uncover her buried memories of their past before someone else steps up to take her from him. For as long as she can remember, hybrid wolf Cadence has loved Jason with every fiber of her being, but he's consistently shoved her away until the love that's there is bound tightly in anger and shame.

    Story

Jason knew Cadence was his mate when he was 15 and so he mate-claimed (bit) her but the trouble was she was just 9 so his then Alpha Father forbid him, and all the Pack, to tell her the significance, or ever remind her, of the event. He also Decreed that, when they're grown-up, she must first remember the bite and then seek him out. Hybrid feisty Cadence has always loved gorgeous Jason but she never understood why he turned away from their friendship and just snapped at her since she was 9 and now, years later, she's had enough.

So starts a ping pong of insults, jealousy as she dates another, denial, heartache, secrets, a hidden dangerous obsessed Wolf, kidnapping, murder, Pack justice, sex and romance. The trouble is it sounded a bit YA (if you tamed down the sex) and most of the interplay between the H/H just seemed implausible for adults. Unfortunately the narrator's voice came across as very young and this may have spoilt the plot for me.

Worth a credit? Jason was an Alpha male but, for a lot of the listen, came across as a frustrated, scared to make a move and daren't do it type and I like my Alpha's to be the 'knock the door down, carry the heroine off and ask questions later' type. Coupled with this was the 'teen vibe' either caused by the narrator or plot or both which made this not the normal type of shifter romance that I was expecting so it's got to be a NO to the credit but, if it's on sale, then maybe.

It all changed one night, with one kiss. He was nineteen. She was only sixteen. She would've been better off if she'd been kissed by the Devil himself. Olive's good girl from a broken family who always looks for love in all the wrong places. West is her brother's best friend-a super hot bad boy biker raised on the streets of Las Vegas, and totally off limits. That summer Olive moves with her mother to the East Coast for a chance at a better life, but she never forgets about West.

I love a good MC listen but unfortunately this only had brief references of the Club and very short visits - the main characters live together in a house..... no badass bikers around. 24 yr old Heroine with an over protective brother returns home after eight years away, she has always lusted over Hero, mutual chemistry, forbidden sex for two weeks (which is hot) and an ex boyfriend stalker causes havoc and mayhem.

But I didn't feel the passion, the romance or the togetherness, no "I love you's" or tender words and a blah letdown of a rushed ending. I think also my problems was the narrator's voice for the Hero which sadly just didn't 'do it for me' but the rest of the characters were ok - told from dual POV's.

Worth a credit? It was a passable listen but regrettably also forgettable.... just because the author mentions bikes, old ladies, biker clothes and tattoos doesn't make it a MC book, so IMHO, not creditworthy but yes get it when it's on sale.

Despite the hot cover and the Publisher's Summary this listen was bad in all sorts of ways..... far too much inner dialogue, the sex talk just wasn't nice, unlikeable hero, mild heroine and the sex scenes weren't at all sexy or erotic. The Fight Club was only referred to because they met there and he was either going to or coming from it and the 'mystery stalker' was mentioned in a few chapters and dealt with in a few paragraphs..... so, a little mystery but no suspense.

Told from dual POV's but what made it far worse was the boring, monotonous and unemotional narration.

Worth a credit? I'm ever an optimist so I kept trudging my way through (eventually on double speed) hoping it got better.... but it never did. There's far better books in this genre out there so, IMHO, pass on this one - uh uh nope, not worth a credit or even buying while on sale.

A rare and powerful witch whose blood is lethal to vampires, Leila has always viewed her serryn abilities as a curse. The most feared serryn hunter of his generation, Caleb now needs the help of one of the witches he despises to save his dying brother.

Well Lindsay Pryor did it again, she kept me up til the wee small hours with this totally gripping and nail-biting second visit into the dark, dangerous and seedy world of Blackthorn to join the Vampires, Weres and other supernaturals who are all forced to live there. And that is where the innocent yet strong Leila, from the safe streets of Summerton, has been forced to venture into to save, not only her sister, but a dreaded Vampire too and that is where she met her worst nightmare..... and her heart's desire.

Handsome, sexy, Alpha Vampire Caleb is a successful Nightclub owner but he has a very dark past filled with torture, pain, unspeakable acts and degrigation.... done to him and eagerly done to others by him. Beneath his stunning good looks he is clever, ruthless, arrogant, very manipulative and an unpredictable bastard and he has just found out that Leila is more than a mere Witch, she's a Serryn and, as told in the Prophecy, one who must die at his hands..... for him and for the Vampire world.

This very well-written and described exciting story has so many twists, shocks and surprises as they both agonize over decisions that must be made.... life and death decisions that fate has thrown at them and unfortunately only one of them can survive. Tense and action-packed with passion, lust and sex but there's also a lot of turmoil and heartbreak too and a very clever 'pull your hair out' and scream "WHAT?" of a CLIFFHANGER because in this emotional book love just may not be enough.

Very well narrated by Anne Flosnik and told from both the H/H POV's with a few other character's thoughts too but the bulk of the story was between Caleb and Leila - their thoughts, words, actions and deeds.

Worth a credit? A PNR lover's dream book, very creditworthy and I've already pre-ordered book 3 which is an impressive and daunting 29 hr listen and, as much as I love Christmas, I can't wait for Dec 30th when it'll finally be released.

What a great ending to this unusual and very addictive Paranormal series and, if you've already listened to books 1 and 2, then you know just what a super supernatural treat is in store for you. WB has his evil plans and, with the help of Dracula, they're all successfully being carried out and he means to get World domination. So beautiful Immortal kick-ass Shapeshifter Roxie has joined the fight against him and is sent to enlist the help of a born-Hybrid Highlander but when she meets him he is much much more - he's a Scottish hunk..... all muscle, handsome, sexy and lust-on-legs with an accent to die for (enough! I'm drooling here).

Chase, a Billionaire recluse, wants to be left alone, society no longer interests him and he has his own history with Dracula and anyway he is going to get revenge his way but when Roxie came a knocking his sensuous Wolf side is instantly vera vera interested however his Vampire instincts makes him vera vera cautious and his Human side is just intrigued. But when they touch there's fireworks.....sparks, sizzles and zings and their wolves suddenly want out to play.... and much more. However, after not revealing the truth until it was too late, trust is going to be a BIG issue between these two and whilst making plans and battling evil they will also be battling their lust, their love, each other and the mating bond.

A 'can't stop listen' as their relationship is fun, frustrating, sensuous and sexy and it all plays out whilst the story unfolds..... magic, an 'other dimension' Wizard who makes wards and potions, Deadly Moon and previous characters are back, hush hush plans are made, there's a secret meeting with Dracula and when long-held secrets are finally revealed then, yes only then, let the battle commence.

Dual POV's, lots of different characters and emotions were all skilfully achieved by Valerie Gilbert which made a good book even better.

Worth a credit? An enjoyable and entertaining finale (for now) to the Shadow Vampire series which had great characters, action, intrigue, a loveable H & H, was romantic, sexy, exciting, amusing and all three in the series were very creditworthy.

These Corps Security guys are all hot, sexy, tattooed Alpha types and Cage had the added advantage of 'below the waist' piercings too. He's a good friend, loyal and protective and all this, and much much more, comes out when he meets Melissa because their chemistry turns straight into lust.... quickly followed by passion and lots of sex. They both have tragedy in their pasts which brings them closer together but Cage kept secrets and guilt that he should've shared with Melissa from the start which nearly blew them apart.

It was a great story with heartache from the past, heartache and murder in the present, a mad and bitter ex, entertaining secondary characters, there was humor, a sweet 3 yr old boy and two strong and sensible main characters who loved, supported and understood each other. However, there was angst and suspense too and Cage had to put in a call for help from his old MC buddy who dealt with the situation his way!

My only negative was the ending which I found a bit choppy with a Bonus Chapter that I think should have been put in the last few chapters. Then there's a Deleted Scene and finally the Epilogue. It was a bit weird but it didn't spoil the listen at all.

Dual POV's and both narrators did a great job with the all the characters and the many emotions called for.

Worth a credit? This is a series that I'll gladly listen to until it ends...... so YUP, IMHO, Harper Sloan is a very creditworthy author.

Reno, a Brother from the Weston Pack, is a strong no-nonsense gritty Shifter, he's seen Wars, been a Bounty Hunter and now a PI but his Wolf is restless..... until the sizzling chemistry that's stirred up when he meets a kind, haunted, timid and accident prone Human April. April's got a good job but she's living in an unsavoury Trailer Park that she inherited from her Grandma but she left her a whole heap of debt too to Loan Sharks and her life's about to be turned upside down and get a whole lot worst.

There's lots of drama, danger, life threats and angst as well as plenty of interaction with the other members of the Weston Pack made up of both Shifters and Humans. But there's instant attraction, passion and hot sex when Reno and April's relationship heats up. April doesn't realize there's a secret Paranormal world out there made up of Shifters, Vampires, Mages and more and she's about to find out.

Sounds good right? But the whimsy whiney and wimpy voice of April's got on my nerves as well as her inferiority complex and some stupid actions. On top of this I really didn't feel the romance until the end because Reno was such an Alpha "do it my way" male.

Dual POV's and the narrator didn't have a problem covering all the many characters that inhabit this new world of Shifters.

Worth a credit? It was enjoyable, entertaining and had some interesting secondary characters and an insight into the other brothers but it wasn't as good as book 1. However, if you intend to follow this series as I maybe will (depending on the next book) then be happy that you spent the credit to get a bit more info from this new mixed Pack.

Well Rory and Ian's idyllic life unfortunately doesn't last long when their happy love affair comes crashing down on them when Rory makes a shocking discovery which is going to shake Ian's perfect world..... which results in some angst-ridden, raw and heartbreaking chapters. And, once again, it's left to Rory to be the strong force in their relationship which eventually brings Ian to his knees (literally). But don't worry there's a HEA ending and a very sweet and touching Epilogue.

Dual POV and dual narrators who both did a great job in bringing all the passion-filled scenes, the drama, the heartbreaking chapters, the lust-filled lovemaking and all the characters to life.

Worth a credit? This is a follow-on story from book 1 so not a stand-alone listen and they were both well worth the credit.

I looked behind me as I ran through the streets; scared, alone, and in the dark as the mist of rain hit my face. My name is Rory Sinclair, and the night I was violently attacked was the night that changed my life forever. Yes, I'll admit Ian's a sexy, handsome and drool worthy millionaire but he's also a womanising douche-bag who's arrogant, demanding and all Alpha so it's kinda hard to like him at first. But, as time went on, his feelings grew for poor Rory who's had a lot of hardship in her life and a mentally challenged twin to look after but that has just made her stronger. Thankfully, she didn't take Ian's bullsh*t and as a result of this he became much more likeable as his character did a 180 degree turn and so could Rory actually be 'the one' to finally catch this rich Playboy's heart..... and will she then be able to keep him.

Total implausible plot..... but so what this is romantic FICTION and I love it. Right from the start it captured me, held my attention and I was desperate to find out if they were going to get their much deserved HEA. But, as there's a book 2 I doubt whether things are going to run smoothly for long. Instant chemistry, sizzling sex and dirty talk, angst, a cast of likeable (and a couple of nasty) secondary individuals and great character development makes this a very enjoyable and entertaining listen.

Told from Rory's POV and the narrator was great at both the female (and perhaps more importantly) the male voices.

Worth a credit? Rory is definitely a damsel in distress but will Ian turn out to be her knight in shining armour and save her or perhaps it will be the other way round? Only time and the second book will reveal the answers to that question.... so this is actually a 2 credit listen and I'm happily off to listen to book 2 knowing that this was a credit well spent and hoping book 2 won't disappoint.

Wowee, what at amazing conclusion….. it all comes out in this one - the secrets, the lies, the who did it and, of course, the decision that Hanna has been misguided, confused, torn and too heartbroken to make. Told from three POV's again which gives you great insight into what each character is thinking and feeling. The narrator's did a fantastic job in bringing all the emotions and characters to life so the listener can appreciate the story more. Flashes back in time where some answers lay and then back to the present for Hanna to try desperately to make sense of them by slowly piece together what happened in those final few days before her world was shattered.

Nate, Max and Hanna are all still in an emotional roller-coaster of love and nobody wants to step off and Lexi Ryan constantly hits you with lots of twists and surprises and then, just when you think things are finally getting figured out….BANG another change in direction or revelation or shocking discovery. There's heartfelt pleas, romantic swoon-worthy gestures and passion-filled sex but all the time you know that sadly one of these tender loving and handsome guys are going to win and one is going to lose and, like Hanna, you're forever torn between the two….. and devastated for the loser.

Worth a credit? Be prepared because once you start you won't want to stop until the precious last words have been spoken and until then there's very little pausing or stopping the unfolding drama and the emotional train-wreck of an intricate unbalanced love triangle that this gifted author has written. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll get mad then feel bad, you'll sigh and swoon and you won't want to stop until you get all the answers….. which, thankfully, are all here. Loved, loved, loved it and YES very very very creditworthy.

More heartbreak, revelations, romance, tender and loving sex, secrets, twists and another shocking cliffhanger as the drama continues in Hanna's life but this time we get to hear what Nate and Max are thinking and feeling too. This is where the three narrators come in and they did a fantastic job in injecting all the emotional turmoil, heartache and passion that this bitter-sweet love story calls for. As with book 1, this too is told in flashbacks of before the accident then back to present day events.

I am so wrapped up in where this story will end..... will she choose gorgeous Max who's been so loving, supportive, sweet and he deeply loves her or will she choose vulnerable Rock Star Nate who's been emotionally damaged by his past but who desperately wants her to choose him. I can't wait to find out the conclusion to this beautiful and torture filled love story and thank Audible that I don't have to because they're all here ready to be devoured one after another then sighed over, savoured and appreciated.

As I reluctantly finished book 1, processed the emotional torment of what I had just listened to and the shocking news it brought and then, as I eagerly and frantically started this book, I had high hopes that it would be as good as the first one and Lexi Ryan didn't disappoint..... it was.

Worth a credit? Errr that would be a definitely, positively and abso.......lutely YES.
