  • Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Mark Douglas
    • Narrated By Walter Dixon

Maximizing the trader's state of mind is the key to successful results. Conflicts, contradictions, and paradoxes in thinking can spell disaster for even a highly motivated, astute and well-grounded trader. Mark Douglas, an industry consultant since 1982, sends the message that a "thinking strategy" will profoundly influence a trader's success rate. Douglas addresses five very specific issues to give traders the insight and understanding about themselves that will make them consistent winners in the market. Trading in the Zone offers specific solutions to the "people factor" of commodity price movement. It uncovers the true culprit for lack of consistency when it comes to stock picking: lack of focus and self-confidence. Through simple exercises, traders will learn how to think in terms of probabilities and adopt the specific beliefs necessary to developing a winner's mindset. Along the way, they'll gain valuable insights into their own entrenched misconceptions about the market.

    "Awesome Book & Narration"

Really great book that opens your eyes to how people (including me) think when we start to dabble in the stock markets. The contents are great, are written in a style and view to impart coaching, answer questions and set out a game plan. The narration is brilliant and clear. Walter Dixon did a great job. Only flip side (if you can call it that) is the narration is 8 hours long! But all the contents are worth it. You need to make the time to listen to the whole narration in chunks at least. Good luck.

  • How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People

"Good book but mediocre audio quality"

The book is worth reading but the audio quality is medicore! I did read several comments about the bad audio quality but I was tempted into buying this audio as I had really enjoyed the book. There are 2 issues with the audio - there is uncessary background music which obscures the narration several times, and at other times there is a buzzing noise in the background and it appears the microphone quality was bad. Would have enjoyed if the audio quality was better. I chose to download using the enhanced format but it wasn't any different.

  • Just Listen: Discover the Secret to Getting Through to Absolutely Anyone

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 44 mins)
    • By Mark Goulston
    • Narrated By Walter Dixon
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

You’ve got a business colleague who’s hostile...a client who’s furious...a staffer who’s deeply cynical—how do you get people to do what you want in tough situations like these? In Just Listen, veteran psychiatrist and business coach Mark Goulston reveals the secret to how to get through to anyone, even when productive communication seems impossible.“Here's the challenge,” Mark says.

    Joseph says: "Not for everyone"
    "Boring and dull ..."

Some of this book appears to me like a copy of Stephen Covery's 7 habits of highly effective people. Chapters on the Amegdula (part of the brain) have no practical connection with other chapters. Overall, I feel I wasted $21 making this purchase. No disrecpect to the author, but I would not recommend this book at all. Sorry!
