The narrator was great! I loved that even though I didn't read the other books in the series it didn't keep me from enjoying this one.
Someone in a review said that this book had chick lit porn in it.... It doesn't. Maybe two kisses with close on. FYI! :)
I listened to the whole series in just a couple months.... I couldn't wait for my credit I was so addicted. Fast pace paranormal with out all the ridiculousness that some of the new series have. And the narrator was really good! We all know the narrator makes or breaks a book and she defiantly is one of my favorites.
I was ver nervous for the last book ever. But I was surprised, in a good way. She reintroduced old characters. Some I couldn't remember at first. Things aren't in a tidy bow at the ending but they are wrapped up to the pont that we don't need another book. Do I want another book? Of course. But I am satisfied with the ending. Someone dies again, and the people responsible have framed Sookie and someone just wants her plain dead. Everyone comes back to help solve the mystery or to just lend their strengths. And of course it was beautifully read. Johanna Parker is one of my favorites. I wouldn't have listened to it if she wasn't the narrator.
I bought this book during a sale. Buy two books for one credit. But you had to chose from their list, so since I read tons I thought why not. wow am I surprised. I was entertained right from the start. Rose and her brothers are trying to stop their small town on the edge from someone or something trying to consume their magic. With the help of a handsome stranger of course!
THe brothers where my favorite. I can just imagine theirs big puppy dog eyes and look of admiration as they spill all the secrets they hear, just like all little kids.
I always knew which character she was portraying without playing super close attention. I clean and bake while I listen! And she wasn't a cheese reader. Very good.
Yes! And I almost did.
