I was OK with purchasing I and II, but when the stories were the same as in the original dream-songs version I was very disappointed! I bought 2 and 3 and the stories were the same as in the original? What's with that? Why didn't you indicate that it was the same as the original?
Don't sell an volume 1 and 2 with the same exact stories on the original volume!
This was a good story, the characters were interesting and kept me interested to the end.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best, I would rate this book about a 7.
I listen to audio books while I work, and no time to read a printed copy, so yes the audio is better for me.
It was a good read, entertaining and I would recommend it to others.
I was a young child during this time, and didn't know about this. I had heard bits and pieces but nothing as detailed as this.
The history facts.
No, was just amazed that I had never heard the history stated in this way
I'm not sure. When I started listening to it, I thought it would be something that I could follow. It was a miss mash, and I didn't know what was going on, I thought WTF! Then thought I must listen to the rest to see what is going on, just when I thought I knew, I found that I didn't! I don't know who could follow the plot? I sure couldn't.
Connect the stories so that it made sense
I liked a couple of the chapters, that's when I thought I knew what was going on, and then found out that I didn't
This was a fun read, it actually came out a little different than I expected, I'm glad I purchased it.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. This was a fabulous read. I listen while working, and couldn't wait to go to work to lizten.
I liked how he portrayed characters and brought us through several generations of these families, while working in the real history of New York.
That's hard to say, as I liked the entire book.
