I found it somewhat difficult to make my brain differentiate between all of the male characters because Critt made them all sound the same. If the author didn't specify who was talking, you couldn't tell by the narration. Critt's too-long pauses between her sentences became annoying.
Overall, I enjoyed the story but didn't love it because of the narration. I'll trudge through books 2-3 just so I can get to a different narrator in book 4.
Blood Promise is by far my favorite book in the series. I'm not a big fan of the character of Lissa and like everyone else, I love Dimitri. He makes the series, IMO. This installment features my favorite Russian front and center.
Oustanding work! Highly recommended for those who want a deeper understanding but are afraid to tackle other works. Takes complex information and presents it in an understandable manner. To the poster above: If you are Catholic, you are a Christian. We are not mindless robots "told" to believe what the Church want us to believe. This book is an excellent piece of work for anyone!
All true! A must read for everyone.
