It's coming up on Cajeiri's birthday. The boy has been promised he can have the young human children he knew from his voyage sent down from the space station for a two week stay. But there's a far darker business going on in the background - a major split compromising the Assassins' Guild, which furnishes security and law enforcement to the whole continent. Tabini's consort's own father has been barred from court, and may be involved in a new conspiracy against him.

Would you listen to Protector again? Why?

Yes I will listen to this many times more. The political intrigues and the wit of both aiji dowager Illiidi and Bren Cameron is so good. I just love The way Bren, Illisidi and their allies work together. Casijie is growing up very well and I find him so amusing and loveable at times. I love Daniel Thomas May's performance so very, very much. I already have a collection of the books and now I'm collecting the audiobooks as well!!. Can't wait for the next book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bren - he is so smart and admirable and so diplomatic. He is able to sort things out o well.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Thomas May’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    He is very good indeed.

The death of history teacher Craig Foster devastated his young wife, who'd sent him off to work that morning with a lovingly packed lunch. It shocked his colleagues at the Upper West Side private school. And as for the 10-year-old girls who found him in his classroom in a pool of bodily fluids, they may have been traumatized for life. Lieutenant Eve Dallas, of course, is more hardened to murder cases. And this is clearly a murder case.

I like the plot which is set in a futuristic world. The two main characters are interesting and the action kept a good pace throughout the story. The different voices and nuances were quite distinct so it was easy to follow .a lot of police procedurals kept the interest going. I would definitely continue this series. I hope there will be more than three which are currently available.

I like the character and the part they play in helping Prince Roger come into his own. I love the character of Prince Roger and how he developed into a strong leader. Stefan Rudnicki performed all the character wonderfully. I must admit I followed the whole series within four days for the four books. I enjoyed them all the way! This third edition to the Prince Roger Series takes the Bronze Barbarians across the Eastern Ocean of Marduk, facing giant sea monsters, pirates, and the barbarian nations that dwell on the other side. Their destination is a spaceport held by humans of questionable loyalties. As Roger comes nearer to making his way home, he learns that his attempted assassination was part of a larger plot. Not all is as it seems on Earth or on Marduk.

Prince Roger MacClintock, Tertiary Heir to the Throne of Man, was a spoiled rotten, arrogant, whiny, thoroughly useless young pain in the butt. But that was before an assassination attempt marooned the Royal Brat and his bodyguards on the planet Marduk, and before they had to march half way around the entire planet, through 120-degree heat and five-hour rainstorms in jungles full of damnbeasts, capetoads, killerpillars, and atul-grak, not to mention hostile peoples, to make their way back to port.

Roger Ramius Sergei Chiang MacClintock was young, handsome, athletic, an excellent dresser, and third in line for the Throne of Man. So it wasn't surprising that he became spoiled, self-centered, and petulant. After all, what else did he have to do with his life?
