What made the experience of listening to New Earth the most enjoyable?

Two things, first the flow of the story and the true to life characters. Second was the excellent reader.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Irish scientist, he portrayed the true Irish attitude to life and problems, for example, he was willing to allow himself to be connected to the machine. He was prepared to "have a go".

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Jordon spoke to the predecessor.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, but I just had to listen to every minute.

    Any additional comments?

Ben Bova has scored another goal and won the match with this excellent book, Stefan Radnicki combined are just the right combination. This is an excellent book and I highly recommend it to all.

Seventy years ago, the interstellar supercarrier Ark Royal was the pride of the Royal Navy. But now, her weapons are outdated and her solid-state armour nothing more than a burden on her colossal hull. She floats in permanent orbit near Earth, a dumping ground for the officers and crew the Royal Navy wishes to keep out of the public eye. But when a deadly alien threat appears, the modern starships built by humanity are no match for the powerful alien weapons.

Would you try another book from Christopher G. Nuttall and/or Ralph Lister?

Yes, only if a different reader was used

Was Ark Royal worth the listening time?

It would have been, if, the reader wasnt so bland and uninteresting in his reading

    Any additional comments?

Please get a different reader, shame, a good story ruined by the reader.

A secret backdoor meeting between Ambassador Ode Abumwe and the Conclave’s Hafte Sorvalh turns out to be less than secret, as both of their ships are attacked. It’s a surprise to both teams - but it’s the identity of the attacker that is the real surprise, and suggests a threat to both humanity and The Conclave. "A Problem of Proportion" is a tale from John Scalzi's The Human Division, a series of self-contained but interrelated short stories set in the Old Man's War universe.

This episode was excellent, the only problem is its length. Its too short, it whets or arouses the appetite and makes you want for more and more. I suspect that the next and last episode will be a few hours in length.
