Oracle Bones- by the same author
When Peter is running in the races!
Some parts brought me close to tears
Wonderful book, although I really liked Oracle Bones better (just a little bit).
I love the naration, and the short stories found within. This was a wonderful book.
Clear speaking skills, easy to understand, and changed his voice to go along with the characters. Loved the naration.
I have listened to 3 of Peter Hesslers books so far, and this one is enjoyable as well. Peter makes you learn of how the people of China are, and understand a different culture much better.
This is my most favorite book so far. I do not speak chinese, so I would not know how the pronunciation is on certain words, but the performance and the storyline was amazing for me.
The struggles of each of the main roles. Its hard to find one moment.
I enjoyed this book so much, that I have bought the hardcopy as well. Having audio is nice for me since I am not able to allocate much time for reading, but this book was such a good story, that I was happy to buy the hard copy as well. (Make sure I did not miss anything)
I do not think there is a print version.
N/A- this is a interview or news investigation on topic.
It was done enjoyably.
What influence Japan has on entertainament.
I thought that this would be a little more indepth, and get into more aspects of Japan's influence on entertainament and modern industry. This interview focused mainly on manga and anime.. although I know it is a big influence, I was hoping to know a little more about the culture and other Japanese influencers. (Art, culture, music, clothing)
Again, very interesting, I just thought that there would be more depth.
Not necessarily. I enjoy good old fashioned books still, however I take the audio option in order to be able to have the time to finish the book. I am always short on time, and its nice to listen to stories or topics I enjoy while typing away at the computer or sitting in traffic.
Snippits of real life management blunders that make you laugh and shake your head.
I enjoy his narration. It brings to life the book, and makes me think of his comics that I ejoy so much.
It is a short book, so I was able to listen to it all in one sitting.
Light-hearted book on management in businesses, taken to the extreme. :)
