Not having read the print version couldn't really say. Though I did enjoy the narrator and think I personally would've been confused reading everyones thoughts instead of hearing them through the narrator.
Made me buy the second book immediately, even though I wasn't necessarily spell bound throughout the book, the cliff hanger killed me.
Had a variety of voices, and didn't try to force a performance.
Almost made me cry near the end when well don't want to say any spoilers...
I listened to the free preview, and decided to purchase the first book. I honestly wish I hadn't listened to the preview the books are not similar imo. Though to be fair the preview is only what half hour, fourty five minutes long or something like that. I did somewhat enjoy the book and will listen to the series to see what happens.
This is the first time I've listened to a full cast audio play. Truly did not enjoy it. Sure different voices, but the sound effects? Detracted from the story in my opinion. I could possibly overlook opening doors, knocking that kind of thing. But listening to people wrestle and grunt, no thanks. Also the elevator musical interludes, completely unecesary. I get that at a real play you need time to tear down/set up. But here it was just awkward long pauses, with classical music that did nothing to enhance the story.
Enjoying the series can't wait to finish. This story went on a bit long. The Narrators did a good job.
Really liked the story, the suspense was done very well. Liked the narrator in this one as well. So glad I found this series of books.
Definitely enjoyed the narrator much more from this book. This story was a little harder to accept as believable. I enjoyed it though and look forward to the next one.
I liked the book, liked the story. Did not like the narrator's voice when doing male voices. Like marlon Brando with a Boston accent.
This is a story of unbelievable triumph and ability to survive. I did not like how religious the book was.
I liked the series, and enjoyed this book. I felt like way to much information and story was crammed into the last bit of this book. For the series as a whole I would recommend it.
Chick, hicks and action.
Pretty much any action book, I enjoy the Reacher series don't get me wrong but at the end of the day it is what it is.
The performer wasn't terrible but I really preferred the narrator from the first book.
Wanted to? Not really, could I? Possibly.
I would recommend this book to everyone. I believe in Ayn Rand's overall philosophy. It is scary how much our current society is turning into punish the producer and give to the need.
John Galt, doesn't change he is who he is unapologetically.
I have not, but I'd be willing to listen to another book he reads.
Not possible haha 63 hours is a marathon not a sprint. I think you would miss some of the important meanings and statements knocking this book out in one sitting.
I am ready to join the John Galt revolution! I produce for greed, for profit. I will not give to you based on need.
