It's a simple story. Boy finds proof that reality is a computer program. Boy uses program to manipulate time and space. Boy gets in trouble. Boy flees back in time to Medieval England to live as a wizard while he tries to think of a way to fix things. Boy gets in more trouble. Oh, and boy meets girl at some point.

What made the experience of listening to Off to Be the Wizard the most enjoyable?

I already knew this would be at least half way decent with Luke Daniels narrating. He does an incredible of job of bringing life to the characters. But when I started getting into it, I realized this was a very smart and well written in terms of blending the modern day with magic. I thoroughly enjoyed the Matrix-esque ideas that were presented in a fun way.

"My name is Kvothe. I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep...."

If you could sum up The Wise Man's Fear in three words, what would they be?

    Storytelling done right...again.

What does Nick Podehl bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Emotion. You really get to know these characters and you experience more about them by how Nick Podehl portrays them.

    Any additional comments?

If you got through day 1 of the series and enjoyed it, you will not be disappointed with day 2.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

All of them. He brings personality and uniqueness to each character.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

In a world where 7 words will make any woman fall in love with you...

    Any additional comments?

I love how the author brings this rich fantasy world to life while still making you believe it could all be real.
