Once you get past the author's over use and improper mixing of analogies, and referring to principles as "laws", you'll find several gems of information that may be new or may be a reminder of a technique or approach you've neglected for awhile.
I recommend listening to "How to Become a Rainmaker" by Jeffrey J. Fox.
This audio recording is for the eBay novice, not for intermediate or advanced sellers. The WARNING comments are good to hear, albeit a little cheesy in their voiceover delivery.
There are a few good guidelines that are of value for not making gross mistakes (such as overestimating your own abilities, or assuming you have the perfect plan from day one), but although the book claims to be applicable to all management (from middle managers to CEOs), 95% of the book is focused on the CEO level. I would recommend this for VP-level and above, or those that deal with boards on a regular basis.
