I purchased this audio after learning about the author in the byline of an article he had written in the past that I really got some benefit out of. This book is great if and only if you are looking to learn ONE thing, and that's how to be pretty darned good at pleasing your spouse (or any other willing woman I guess) with your tongue and fingers, etc.
It seems that the author has something against vaginal intercourse, and this comes through in his writing. My take away is that he considers intercourse as secondary to cunnilingus, and this book focuses entirely on the latter, and almost seems to downplay the enjoyment a woman is able to get from intercourse. My wife, although not someone who generally enjoys oral over actual intercourse, requires penetration to orgasm even when she gets "revved up" by oral sex.
Ladies, if you like receiving great oral, buy this audiobook for your man. Guys, if you like giving it and your lady does too, get the book. It has a wealth of information, probably more than most textbooks on female anatomy. It's pretty clear the author has done his homework in that department.
Actual "case studies" I'm not so sure about. There is definitely a slant, and the author seems intent on making cunnilingus the norm as the primary source of sexual pleasure for a woman. He may correct in that most women can get off easier using these techniques than via penetration, it just doesn't apply too much to my particular relationship.
He's passionate about the subject though. I've gotta give him that!
Theodore Roosevelt is one of the most extraordinary people in history in my opinion, and there is MUCH to be gained from knowing his life story, the circumstances and events that molded him into who he is and his unique ways of thinking that ultimately led him to be one of the most powerful and respected men in the world.
The biography is fascinating from start to finish, and I bookmarked a LOT of the one-liners and golden nuggets of knowledge that such a close look at Mr. Roosevelt's life has to offer, and have changed my own way of thinking about others and the world around me as a result - with very positive impact.
Mr. Morris obviously has gift for creating fun to listen to biographies that are more like stories, and Mr. Deakins did a great job on the narration. I'm sure I'll be referring back to this audiobook frequently to ask myself "What would Teddy do?" ;-)
I wasn't exactly sure what to expect when I downloaded this book because I had credits racked up in my Audible account, but it was a diamond in the rough. Gary Chapman's experience in helping couples work through their issues shows, and his methods and techniques for improving your relationship with your spouse can be benefited from nearly immediately.
I started doing some of the things that Gary suggested, and it literally saved my marriage, without question. Both my wife and I used to often say to each other "I feel like you don't love me". If you're a man or a woman and you've ever heard those words before, or something like them, buy this book, soak it all up, and implement some of Gary's ideas as fast as you can.
It will be worth every penny spent. You might not get your spouse to read it, nor should you try to force him or her to. The beauty of what Gary teaches is that you don't NEED the voluntary or willing participation of your spouse in order for this techniques to start working for you. Results come naturally, as you learn and understand the realities of marriage, and how different people express love and FEEL loved in the 5 different ways he discusses in details.
Very excellent book. I will very likely be buying this one for a lot of my friends at some point in the future.
