No one has ever truly touched Jack Travis's heart or soul...until Ella Varner comes along. She appears one day on his doorstep with fury in her eyes and a baby in her arms. Her troubled sister is the mother and, according to Ella, Jack Travis is the father. But when Ella demands that Jack take responsibility for the first time in his life, he ends up taking much more than that.

What made the experience of listening to Smooth Talking Stranger the most enjoyable?

Lisa Kleypas is an excellent romance writer. I thought the story line was okay and the characters to be interesting. I wasn't blown away by the story. Lisa usually writes historical romances so this is a switch for her. I think the performer was very good.

In Octopussy," a talented but wayward British major pays a high price when his wartime past catches up with him, while in The Property of a Lady, a Fabergé egg leads Bond to a KGB spy. In The Living Daylights, Bond has a perilous rendezvous in sniper's alley between East and West Berlin, and 007 in New York (read by Lucy Fleming) sees him sent to America to warn an ex - MI6 operative about a dangerous liaison. All part of the job for 007.

What can I say-it's Tom Hiddleston narrating a book. If he wants 2 read an instruction manual for computer programing-I'd buy it! On a serious note, it's not a bad delivery-there are better narrators out here. He can sometimes sound dead-pan & stiff but overall enjoyable!

The works of J.R.R. Tolkien are quite possibly the most widely read pieces of literature written in the 20th century. But as Professor Michael Drout illuminates in this engaging course of lectures, Tolkien's writings are built upon a centuries-old literary tradition that developed in Europe and is quite uniquely Western in its outlook and style. Drout explores how that tradition still resonates with us to this day, even if many Modernist critics would argue otherwise. He begins the course with the allegory of a tower....

"Friday January 2nd. I felt rotten today. It’s my mother's fault for singing "My Way" at two o clock in the morning at the top of the stairs. Just my luck to have a mother like her. There is a chance my parents could be alcoholics. Next year I could be in a children's home..." Meet Adrian Mole, a hapless teenager providing an unabashed, pimples-and-all glimpse into adolescent life. Writing candidly about his parents' marital troubles, the dog, and his life as a tortured poet and misunderstood intellectual, Adrian's painfully honest diary is a hilarious and compelling listen.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a well narrated, well written book. Written in "Dear Diary" style it does cover more teen age and adult topic such as mentioning mom and dad's infidelities and body parts of a girlfriend. I loved it but I wouldn't buy it for a child though.I would say 13-14 years old or older

This is a very interesting book on one man's encounter with psychopaths in all walks of life. Ronson gives a highly vivid and entertaining account of the psychiatry industry with all of it's pseudo science. It is a must read.
