Not sure if I have heard him before, nut his reading was excellent.
Neither. It was a beautiful listening experience.
Highly recommend this audio book. I far preferred the ending to the one I recall in the film. My memory may have slipped and I just don't recall the film as well as I might.
Respect for humanity. Violence and abuse is a crime and not a sexual turn on. The author getting a jolt of conscience wight improve the work.
Prostitution is a more honorable profession than writing sick pornography of violent abuse and degradation and implying that such behavior is sexy.
The narrator did a good job.
Revulsion and deeply saddened.
Easy to listen to. It held my interest throughout.
Main protagonist. They were in every scene.
I did not like the detailing of torture during rape. I thought that gratuitous violence and not necessary detail. Not to my taste. I give it 5 stars because there is no 4.5 rating.
I do not give plot spoilers.
No to first question.
No. I was happy to listen to it over several days.
Stupid questions, Audible. Just let me review a good book in my own words.
I would not know. I do not have and didn't read the print version, Silly question Audible.
The narrator. Another idiotic preset question. Which mass murderer do you like best, Audible?
Sigh... The intelligence level of Audible's pre-set questions' This is narration about serial killers.
Yes, Audible; don't pose inappropriate questions for a book.
A brilliant ending.
John Grisham's masterful writing style.
Clear diction, easy to understand every word.
No, I happily enjoyed it over several days.
I am ready for another John Grisham, he never disappoints.
Intelligent writing without relying an exaggerated cliché would help
Anger shot through my veins like the Incredible Hulk, Kathy Reichs wrote—and I gagged turned the uncompleted book off and dumped it in the trash bin.
Narrator did well with the dreadful writing.
I cannot stand cliché writing as bad as this:
Anger shot through my veins like the Incredible Hulka
I regret wasting my money on such dreadful writing.
It was easy to hear.
I expected more, as a result of all the publicity. A good book, but not especially memorable. I've already forgotten what it was about, a year after listening to it and I l know at the time I wasn't thrilled by the story.
Only the time saving aspect of doing two things at once.
Worth listening to.
The voice depicting the senior main character
His being accepted by the circus owner after leaving the nursing home.
I don't know, but this is excellent.
The old man scenes.
I mentally switched off at 1.30 minutes in and was bored by it at 2 hour mark and turned it OFF for good.
Started off well then I got the feeling of 'more or the same,' and slow story.
A faster moving plot.
I'm not a Nora Roberts fan, I know many love her work this started good then just lost me. Just not my taste. Two hours of storytelling that could have been more exciting if told in thirty minutes or at the very least been edited to remove 25% in order to speed the plot and have more happening with less embroidery of words—words which were great to begin with initially but became tedious at the two hour mark once you had had enough of them.
