I keep hearing what a great author Sandra Brown is but I will not be picking up another one of her books in the near future if this is an example of her work.
It had lots of twists and turns but in the end was not realistic. There were also a LOT of unnecessary sex scenes. I ended up skimming a great deal of it and did not feel I missed a thing. In fact I should not have bothered finishing it.
Too many loose ends that aren't even picked up in the next book. Love the series but this one was a bomb.
This is definitely geared for a younger person in their 20’s – 30’s. The sex scenes were tooooo much.
I truly liked Charlaine Harris and this series, until now.
This book totally turned me off because it is DEPRESSING because of the child abductions.
Then the book took a left turn with Tolliver, the brother. Totally unnecessary and a distraction.
This could have been an excellent book in a very good series. The idea of the dead communicating from the grave was a great start to a new kind of paranormal experience in books.
I'll try the next book BUT I'm not so sure that I will stick with the series. There are a LOT of buts...
This series does not disappoint. On to the next one. The series is THAT good.
Game warden not sheriff. WY the only similarity. Content story FANTASTIC. Have to read the entire series.
Sentimental like "The Notebook" but did not leave me wanting more. As our heroine points out scrapbooking is for everyone from the business that wants to tell its story to the individual who wants to leave the family memories. Underneath those basic needs is a heartfelt story.
I want more. This does not cry sequel but I want more from this author.
I want more in the series. It is just plain old fun to read and very light hearted despite the witches or maybe because of them. Good mystery series.
My daughter recommended this book BUT then she said, "it is my vampire porn". That ALMOST prevented me from reading this. It ended up to be a very good recommendation and NO porn.
Too many characters. Too drawn out. Too boring. I wanted tell the author to "Just Get On With It." Not as good as the first book.
