Your senses aren't just a part of you-they define you. Nothing you experience would be possible without the intricate power of your senses. But how much about them do you really know? Your ability to sense and perceive the world around you is so richly detailed and accurate as to be miraculous.

Would you consider the audio edition of Comanche Moon to be better than the print version?

Yes, because the narrator adds a lot to the characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Captain Skull, He was a very cool character every time he was mentioned the story got very interesting.

Which character – as performed by Frank Muller – was your favorite?

    Captain Skull.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The torture that captain Skull endured was really some good story telling.

    Any additional comments?

This book is read in four parts. The fourth part is dry, dull, and boring. They should have stopped at part three and the book would have been perfect. The last part was so dull that I barely got through it.

In Dead Man's Walk, Gus and Call are not yet 20, young men coming of age in the days when Texas was still an independent republic. Enlisting as Texas Rangers under a land pirate who wants to seize Santa Fe from the Mexicans, Gus and Call experience their first great adventure in the barren great plains landscape, in which arbitrary violence is the rule -- whether from nature, or from the Indians whose territory they must cross in order to reach New Mexico.<

Where does Dead Man's Walk rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    It's in the top 5

Who was your favorite character and why?

It would be a toss up between Gus, and Mattie.

    Which scene was your favorite?

It's hard to say their were many great moments in the book, but when the Mexican officer asked to be shot to let the others go free, that was inspiring.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No moment in particular, I was moved by the book as a whole because it was very well written, and superbly narrated.

    Any additional comments?

This is a quintessential Western novel, and must listen. This is a great book even if you don't like Westerns.

What made the experience of listening to It the most enjoyable?

    The narrator was fantastic

If you’ve listened to books by Stephen King before, how does this one compare?

Very long and cumbersome. Great character development, but damn enough is enough.

What does Steven Weber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Honestly if it weren't for his performance I would not have finished the book.

Who was the most memorable character of It and why?

    St-st-st uhtttering Bhu Bhu Bill.

    Any additional comments?

This book would have been great had it been about 20 hours rather than 45. It was just to long. I expected it to be scary, but really wasn't scary at all. King is a master story teller, and he is great at twisted plots, but not really scary.

What made the experience of listening to The Green Mile the most enjoyable?

I watched the movie years ago. It was interesting to compare the book to the movie.

What other book might you compare The Green Mile to and why?

There is no comparison to The Green Mile. It has a truly unique storyline. Stylistically it is vary comparable to the rest of Stephen Kings books. King is a true master of character development.

What does Frank Muller bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He adds a voice and emotion, but if you have seen the movie it is impossible not to compare the narration with the movie.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It didn't make me laugh or cry but it did make me think a lot.

    Any additional comments?

This is a fantastic book. If you have seen the movie, the book adds depth to the characters that was very fascinating.

Eerie, dreamlike, set in a world that is weirdly related to our own, The Gunslinger introduces Roland Deschain of Gilead, of In-World that was, as he pursues his enigmatic antagonist to the mountains that separate the desert from the Western Sea in the first volume of The Dark Tower series. Roland, the last gunslinger, is a solitary figure, perhaps accursed, who with a strange single-mindedness traverses an exhausted, almost timeless landscape of good and evil.

Would you try another book from Stephen King and/or George Guidall?

I love Stephen King he is my favorite author but this book just didn't do it for me.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The book is all over the place and hard to follow.

How could the performance have been better?

This was the wrong narrator for the book.

Do you think The Gunslinger needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Dumb question it is book one in a 7 part series.

This fundamental historical question and its complex answer speak penetratingly to the spiritual impulses, concerns, and beliefs that have played a seminal role in our world, even as they reveal the foundation of history’s most global religious movement, and fresh insights into the Western world's single most influential human being. Tackling all of these matters and more, Great Courses favorite Professor Ehrman returns with the unprecedented historical inquiry of How Jesus Became God.

This is an excellent lecture from a historical perspective on how Christianity developed, and evolved. This is not a fundamental view, but a historical view.

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I already have! This book is incredible! I did not want to ever stop listening. Once again Stephen King proves he is the best!

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's a toss up between Abra & Dan.

Which character – as performed by Will Patton – was your favorite?

He does an amazing job with all of them! Rose The Hat was especially sinister! Dan Torrence was the most believable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire book was moving because it was truly brilliant! I am moved by anyone who is a master of their craft and Stephen King is a Master Author!

    Any additional comments?

This is one of my all time favorite books. It picks up exactly where The Shining (the book not the movie) left off. I love the book because it not only picks up where the book left off, but it also adds new twists and innovative new elements to the already deliciously twisted story of The Shining. We get to see what happens to little Danny (Doc) Torrence after he survived the Overlook, and we are introduced to a superb new cast of characters.

Macbeth: A Novel brings the intricacy and grit of the historical thriller to Shakespeare’s tale of political intrigue, treachery, and murder. In this full-length novel written exclusively for audio, authors A. J. Hartley and David Hewson rethink literature’s most infamous married couple, grounding them in a medieval Scotland whose military and political upheavals are as stark and dramatic as the landscape in which they are played.

When the childlike witch raped Macbeth

    Which scene was your favorite?

All of the scenes with the three witches.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I thought the scene in which Banquo dies was really pretty good.
