  • The Road

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 39 mins)
    • By Cormac McCarthy
    • Narrated By Tom Stechschulte
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

America is a barren landscape of smoldering ashes, devoid of life except for those people still struggling to scratch out some type of existence. Amidst this destruction, a father and his young son walk, always toward the coast, but with no real understanding that circumstances will improve once they arrive. Still, they persevere, and their relationship comes to represent goodness in a world of utter devastation.

"You Must Listen to this title"

If you're looking for an intricate plot, this book is not for you. If you can appreciate a finely crafted sentence, then you will appreciate this book. Cormac McCarthy is a master of the language and is right up there with Steinbeck and Hemingway. If you liked, "The Memory of Running", you'll like "The Road".

The narration by Tom Stechschulte is amazing. He apparently takes the time to thoroughly understand what he's reading and it really shows in this audio book. He makes this book shine. If I was down to my last credit I would spend it on this book.

  • Line of Vision

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 13 mins)
    • By David Ellis
    • Narrated By Dick Hill

Marty Kalish is a young man suffocating in the heat of an affair with a married woman named Rachel. When Rachel's husband disappears one night, Marty is one of the first to be questioned. With few likely suspects, the police arrest him for murder. We want him to be innocent, but the more he tells us, the more we fear he is guilty. And as the twists and turns of the plot unfold, we can't be completely sure.

  • Younger Next Year: A Guide to Living Like 50 Until You're 80 and Beyond

    • ABRIDGED (7 hrs and 38 mins)
    • By Chris Crowley, Henry S. Lodge
    • Narrated By Don Leslie, Rick Adamson

Younger Next Year is about how to turn back your biological clock. How to become functionally younger every year for the next five to 10 years, and continue to live with vitality and grace into your 80s and beyond.

Sara says: "Great ideas but written for MEN"
    "Outstanding Motivational Book"

This book has got me off my butt and back into exercise mode. Chris speaks to you as if he is your best buddy. Henry gives you the details of how your body works and why he is recommending particular types of activities. Most of the book focuses on exercise stating that it is the most difficult aspect of the program. This is a great book for anyone who needs a little push to get started exercising. It's written to appeal to men but women can get the same benifits.
