The book kind of grew on me for the first 3/4 of the book - a "comfortable" read (listen) and no heavy action. But the ending was so wrong (not what happened but the way it happened) - and from a medical point of view - inaccurate. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. That kind of ruined it for me.
The performance was excellent. There is no way the print version could come close to the audio version. The narrator did an excellent job of distinguishing the characters with changes in his voice.
The character development was well done and the plot was challenging. The main character had many layers and was a reminder of the old time detectives.
I listen to books while driving and this was one of those books that I couldn't wait to turn on - it made me want to get up and drive to work. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
