This second book keeps you going and is as amazing as the first!
The performance continues to keep the characters alive in your mind!
Debra Harkness is amazing. Loved this story and didn't want to put the book down!
Love the way Anne Hathaway read this book! The story differs slightly from the movie, so if you've never read the story, I suggest you listen to this!
Being in the acute care setting for my entire carreer as an ER/ICU/CCU nurse, this got me thinking. Although it didn't explain much of what I already knew, the case studies were great. It still left me wanting more information, but it may be impossible to get more unless there are subjects who would agree to die and come back to life.
This book, although excellent, could move along just a bit faster. I kept falling asleep and have to go back to find my place!
Looking forward to the prequil!
This is an amazing tale that you won't be able to stop listening to. Every chapter ends leaving you wanting more. I listen at night and stayed awake for hour after hour listening to this audiobook. The writer brings the characters and places to life in your mind and keeps you anxious about what happens next. I can't believe the intent need to know more that arose as I listened. amazing series, too. I'm on the third book and have orderd the prequil. I'd definately listen to the three books first, so you get the full impact of the story.
The reader is amazing in using different voices for the characters, just an amazing performance!
This book had all the elements for a romance, but the story was a bit out there! It seemed a bit ahead of times forthe period it was written in. I know it takes a lot to plot a story, but I felt like the herione was a goody girl and was taken off gaurd by the way the hero and herione got together. The love scenes seemed very contrived, as if they needed to be placed there in the story, and the way the hero took her was a bit weird. Overall, an easy listen if you can stay awake if listening at night. I was happy for the rewind button.
I was able to get through the whole book, but the mystery seemed fabricated. I love all of her earlier stories, but have been dissapointed lately with her new ones.
This book keeps me awake every night while I wait to hear an even more disgusting fact about this case. I was only ten years old when this happened and the news was so much less forthcoming of the facts. I remember feeling disgusted that an actress had her baby stripped from her stomach while being brutelly murdered, but that didn't really happen at all. I wanted to read the facts of the story as an adult, so I could try to understand what really happened. It's really a gut wrenching portrayal of the real murders and amazing how the people committing these murders can be so brainwashed.
Manson was a true serial killer and bought his due reward. If you have a weak stomach, you might want to read the book, so you can skip some of the gory details.
I would recommend this book for anyone that wants to know the real inside story of what happened to these innocent people. The timeline keeps you on track, while you try to understand and grasp the whole situation.
