I was so excited when I discovered that Marc Thompson would be reading the unabridged version of the Thrawn trilogy. After listening I must say I was not disappointed! Thompson does such a good job with all the different characters, he has to rank as my second favourite narator. The story was great - as all books by Zahn are.
This book doesn't suffer from middle child syndrome. It zips along very nicely. I almost prefer this trilogy to the original trilogy.
Yes, it is worth the time to listen.
The lovely naration of David Troughton is a highlight. He does a great job playing his father, but is was also a treat to hear how he narrated the other characters.
I love the cameo appearances from members of the old wraith squadron.
It is hard to make a Gamorean likeable but Piggy is the exception.
This was one of the best! I love the fact that they have started doing unabridged versions of the older (and in my opinion, better) Star Wars books.
All of his characters are great!
I have already listened to this book twice and will probably listen to it again just before book 2 comes out. It is a good story, superbly narated and produced
No, it was too long!
This was a fantastic production and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The cast and special effects are superb.
I love the story and love joan Hickson but her reading was somewhat slurred which slightly marred the reading.
A great story. The narration is very good and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book is one of Elizabeth Peter's high quality stories, excellently narrated by Barbara Rosenblat. Highly recommended as an amusing way to spend a few hours.
