I would recommend anything by Laurann Dohnner. I have read all her books and love the fact that I can now listen to them when I am doing chores and driving.
I believe my favorite moment in the book is when Mika and Grady run into each other after they have already met and have to keep the fact from Mika's uncle Omar.
My favorite scene was when Grady has to explain himself for the fact he lied to Mika and had to explain why he was trying to trick her into thinking Mating Season was still happening.
I had strong reactions as a woman. I could feel how hurt Mika is during the whole book and how being a human makes it impossible to make Grady love her.
Sometimes Grady is a huge jerk, but he can also be the most sweet man in the world. He takes Mika on a wild ride of emotions until they finally get together and settle into a couple who can manage both worlds.
Happily Ever After
I loved that this book had everything I want in a good story. Great characters, great plot, wonderful voice to listen to while getting involved in the story and hard problems to solve.
Kirsten Potter did an excellent job with the narration, especially the accents.
She lived in a world of her own making, until he woke her up from her hibernation.
Great book. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Thought provoking adventure
Interestingly enough, this book kind of reminded me of the Harry Potter books, only in a more serious setting. Both have young boys who are thrust into a world they do not understand. Both learn to cope with all the downfalls and life lessons as they make friends and fight evil.
New listener to both, but the performance was great!
I listened to most of it on a long car trip. Had a hard time when we had to stop. My husband listened as well and we both enjoyed it.
Even though this book was written 20 years ago, it is a great story line and really makes us think about humanity and how we would react to an actual alien invasion. It also makes you think about how the world will look in the future. Very though provoking.
I love the shifter world that Shelly Laurenston has created. Every character is rich in details and humor. I usually laugh from the first to the last page.
I have read a lot of shifter books, but Shelly Laurenston has my favorite shifter only series. I also enjoy her Dragon series books, written as G.A. Aiken as well.
I loved Charlotte Kane's performance. She has just enough deep growl in her voice to convey the shifters perfectly while still making the women sound like women and the men like men. Being from the south, it's hard to get the southern accent right, but she did a really good job.
It made me laugh, a lot. If you want a serious romance, stay away from Laurenston. If you want a laugh your pants off and enjoy a really good story book, then pick up any of hers.
This is not the first book in the series. I would recommend reading in this order:
The Mane Event
The Beast in Him
The Mane Attraction
The Mane Squeeze
Beast Behaving Badly
Big Bad Beast
Bear Meets Girl
Wolf With Benefits
Howl For It anthology – "Like a Wolf With a Bone"
So, as you can see, Beast Behaving Badly is the 5th book. It contains characters from the other books, which build on the series and make the whole thing enjoyable.
I think they are equally awesome. This is one of my favorite Laurann Dohnner books because the people are more real. Instead of cyborgs and new species (which I love as well) I can sit back and feel like I am a part of the story.
My favorite character is Trina, because she is the most loyal woman ever. She never puts her dead husband down, even if he was sadly lacking. She is heroic in the fact that she finds the courage to try and make a new life when he dies and she is everything that Navarro needs in his life.
I have not listened to anything by Liz Chastain before, but I have already downloaded the second book in the series and will be listening to it soon.
Can you find the courage to take a wild chance on love? To live out your wild fantasies for 8 weeks? Would you dare?
I really enjoyed this audio book as I have always enjoyed this book period. It is racy and has some very explicit sex scenes. No one under the age of 18 should listen to this book.
It is in one of the top ten books that I have listened to, even if I want to kick Flint in the cojones sometimes.
It took me on a wild rush of emotions. From depression to lust to amazement to jealousy to happiness.
This is the first book I have heard by Mindy Kennedy. Her performance was fine. Sometimes there was a little background noise, which was distracting, but overall the performance was pretty good.
How do you save yourself from a cyborg? You don't. You join them...in bed.
Although Flint can be a royal pain in the a$$ and can make you go, duh, it is a great beginning to the cyborg series by Laurann Dohnner. Each book gets better and I look forward to listening to more stories come to life.
