Superbly written tale based on a true story
Even if you know what the end will be, the journey to get there was nerve wracking
Agnes relating her version of the story to Margaret
Agnes and Toti
Well worth the time and more than worth the credit.
Excellent narrative from Mr. Poirot himself, David Suchet.
Suchet explains how he studied and brought Poirot to life. Its all the little details which Poirot himself would have done. Suchet and Poirot are one.
Story is definitely in the vein of an Agatha Christie novel although some details on Sophie Hannah's version of Poirot are somewhat inconsistent with the original character. Still worth a read as the story is good.
Audiobook contains little-known short stories on Sherlock Holmes & his adventures with trusty sidekick Watson.
Dr. Watson as he is a complementary character to Holmes.
Elementary my dear Watson
Derek Jacobi narrates the stories so well that I could just imagine the scenes as if they were in a movie or tv series. He does however expend effort on the Southern American accents which do not seem to sit well on his British accent. That is, at times he makes some of the American characters sound drunk. Overall, excellent narration which brings to life the main characters and the stories.
No, the audio version is missing Chapter 1

This Audiobook is a good tool to use to reinforce learning on the topic.
Compelling story on an important global issue. Horowitz uses a modern voice with all the twist and turns of a suspenseful "on the edge of your seat" thriller.
Derek Jacobi is an excellent narrator who brings to life Sherlock Holmes and Watson.
The start of the story as it includes Watson reminiscing on Holmes and it reveals various interesting tidbits which fills in the gap on what happened to both of those main characters as they got on with the years. The chase scene towards the climax was action-filled & hilarious.
Well worth the time and credit spent listening to this wonderful story & talented narration by Derek Jacobi. Anthony Horowitz does justice to Arthur Conan Doyle's characters whilst tackling an important global issue.
Over-simplifies business concepts
No because its too simplistic for someone working in complex and corporate environments,
Good introduction for budding entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Summarises basic business concepts
Difficult to listen to the sections where Humbert Humbert talks about his erotic thoughts and sexual experiences with Lolita.
Clare Quilty's character as his end was so absurd and I just could not take the remaining part of the story seriously.
Quilty scene in the end was so hilarious.
Charlotte Haze was such a tragic character.
I cannot imagine a more fitting narrator than Jeremy Irons for Humbert Humbert.
Although the story has been rated as one of the best books of all time, it was terribly boring.
Scott Brick was the saving grace to this intensely boring and painfully long story.
Yes it's already a movie and much better in that format than on print or audio
It's like reading or listening to Ulysses - difficult to get through in a few sittings. Atlas Shrugged is a long-winded diatribe of Objectivist philosophy in a moralistic tone.
Suspense, horror, exciting
Mina being seduced by Dracula
This is one of the best multicast performances by talented artists in audiobook format.
Very happy listening to this audiobook. Alan Cummings, Tim Curry & the rest of the cast brought back to life (no pun intended) this classic story.
