I enjoyed the book and was glad I listened on audio. The interview with Vonnegut at the end was a delightful bonus. I've not read the print version so can't really make a comparison.
Yes, especially if the friend loved the outdoors.
Elizabeth's relationship with her garden and unconventional way of thinking about it.
She's one of the great narrators. She always makes the characters and stories come vividly to life.
A Year in My German Garden
Another narrator. This one is terrible at women and exaggerates his men so much that they sound like caricatures.
Not this audiobook. The story sounded like it might be interesting but I just couldn't see listening to another 12 hours to find out.
Simon Vance, Martin Jarvis, Frederick Davidson, etc.
Thoroughly enjoyable and witty mystery in the English manner. The ending was a bit of a let down, so no 5-star rating. It was so much fun until the denoument, though, that I highly recommend this listen.
My first Georgette Heyer mystery, but not my last! A practically perfect mystery of manners worthy of Jane Austen herself, if she went in for that kind of thing.
