Six years ago, federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happened: an attack that changed her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire. Now, in Vampire Dawn, Samantha Moon tackles her most frightening case yet.

This is a good book but it is very short. There are a lot of thing in this book that could have been discussed more. Like Sam's new relationship with Detective Hanner, her relationship with Fang and Kingsley and about her son. I think that's the difference between male and female writers. female writers spend more time on relationships. However short it is a good book and I look forward to the next.

Marguerite Gavin does a great job bring Kate Shugak to like. Kate is a realistic and sympathetic character that I enjoyed reading about. The plot was strong and well developed as was the other characters. There was enough twist and turns to keep you guessing through out the book. I ususally read light and cozy mysteries and this was a bit darker. I spent an entire day listening to it. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries.

In New York Times best-selling author Victoria Laurie’s newest Psychic Eye Mystery, Abby Cooper is trusting her intuition and heading to Sin City to bet on a friend’s innocence.... When police show Abby surveillance video of her best friend and business partner, Candice Fusco, shooting a man in cold blood, she can’t believe her eyes. And when the cops tell her they think the victim has ties to the Mob - and perhaps Candice does, too - she can’t believe her ears. Surely there is a logical explanation.

This is a good book. Candace is in a jam and Abbey is her only hope. The plot was a bit far fetched and there were many twists and turns. However, the book was pleasant enough and enjoyable.

Unlike most lead characters in cozy mysteries, Meg does not invite herself into murder investigations. She is intelligent and likable and is trying to do her job when someone pulls her into their situation. That makes her different. The investigation that follows is interesting. This isn't a fast paced page turner but it is an enjoyable book.

I read the first book in this series and found it annoying, but at least I finished it. This one was worse. The plot is unrealistic- step son from previous marriage runs away because his parents are thinking about getting together and gets involved in murder plot. The story made no sense. It was also very boring. Not could I not get into the story but I didn't find any of the characters interested. I finally gave up halfway through it. I will not buy a book by this author again.

This was bad writing in so many ways. I couldn't figure out if it was a romance novel or a treasure hunt. I do know it was not a cozy mystery like Diana Killian's other books. I will nt be reading anymore in this series.

This book is different from the others in the series. There is no murder but Meg does set out to solve a mystery. She also makes some unbelievable odd choices based on the weather and everyone went along like it was normal. All in all it was an okay book. I will probably read the next one in the series. I am very disappointed that the recipes are not included in the version offered by audible.

Discovering she has two left feet isn’t the biggest problem for Laurel McKay when she agrees to learn a fox-trot routine for her best friend’s Lake Tahoe wedding. Stumbling over the lifeless body of a sexy Russian dance star with her broken shoe heel stuffed in his mouth…is far worse. Almost as bad as running into the hunky detective she dated briefly before he disappeared from her life. When another death occurs on the ballroom floor, Laurel finds herself waltzing her way into the dark secrets of the Golden Hills Dance Studio.

The second book in the Laurel McKay mystery series was okay. Laurel gets involved in a mystery at the behest of her boss. The story line is a bit unbelievable and the ending had me rolling my eyes at Laurel's decisions. All in all I like the supporting characters. They kept the story realistic. I will probably get the next book in the series.
