A pilot stranded in the desert awakes one morning to see, standing before him, the most extraordinary little fellow. "Please," asks the stranger, "draw me a sheep." And the pilot realizes that when life's events are too difficult to understand, there is no choice but to succumb to their mysteries. He pulls out pencil and paper... And thus begins this wise and enchanting fable that, in teaching the secret of what is really important in life, has changed forever the world for its readers.

This book has been one of my favourites since I found it somewhere around 1967. I enjoyed the audio version, Humphrey Bower fit my image of the narrator. However, you cannot get the full impact of the book without the illustrations. I frequently needed to go back to the printed version to have a look. This would be a good book to have in the Enhanced version so that one could follow the pictures too!

Come with us to an Enchanted Place, a forest where Winnie-the-Pooh lived with Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Eeyore, Kanga, and Little Roo. The stories are about Christopher Robin and these good companions having wonderful times getting in and out of trouble. It is all very exciting and, really, quite thrilling no matter how young or old you may be. It is painful to try and imagine what the world would be like without them.

These stories about Winnie-the-Pooh are so delightful in their innocence and wisdom, and Peter Dennis so perfectly captures the tone of each character, that I frequently turn this audio book on when I can't sleep and am asleep again by the time my iPod goes into sleep mode.

Millions of Christians have struggled with how to reconcile God's love and God's judgment: Has God created billions of people over thousands of years only to select a few to go to heaven and everyone else to suffer forever in hell? Is this acceptable to God? How is this "good news"? Author, pastor, and innovative teacher Rob Bell presents a deeply biblical vision for rediscovering a richer, grander, truer, and more spiritually satisfying way of understanding heaven, hell, God, Jesus, salvation, and repentance.

I love the message of this book: that God loves me (and you) no matter what! That Jesus came that we can live more abundantly in this life, it's not about the next. I felt, at times, that Rob was talking too fast, but then, I can always listen to it over and over. Thanks, Rob, for speaking your truth.
