The Hollow, the second in the Trilogy of the Blood Brothers, proved to be an enjoyable listen that leaves the reader wanting to hear the end of the story. The narration is well done and adds to the drama of the story. Classic Nora Roberts!
This is one of the best of the Dark Series, and I've read them all. This is however, one of few that I've listed to as an audible book. Oh my goodness, the man's voice was sad! It reminded me of someone doing an imitation (and not a particularly good one...) of an old Dracula movie. The female voice was good, but the male's was stilted and totally affected. Distracting to the story? Yes.
I have enjoyed this series, but this novel was probably my least favorite. Phury is a tortured character and, at times, very unlikable. I thought it a bit of a stretch that the Brotherhood put up with him so long. This novel changes the entire dynamic of the series with its new future for the Chosen and presents great possibilities for new characters.
