Still not sure if I agree with this books premise, but it has given me much to think about. The reader was good and the story has been researched, it's just a stretch for my mind to wrap around.
I was totally engrossed in this story, I was looking for longer distances to drive, then put the iPod in my pocket and walk the dogs. I was riveted. For me the ending was just so disappointing, a real let down. I wanted someone, hopefully Nick, to be the winner. There were no winners. I guess that is the definition of a tragedy. Now I won't bother seeing the movie.
I listen while I drive and found I was looking for longer destinations!
Well written and delved into the effects of school bullying. How it looks and feels on both sides of the bully.
It touched me, thanks for writing this book.
Narration was very well done. The book became too horror filled for me to listen to and drive.
If you like horror this might be for you. Creeepy!
To me- a slow book and it makes the Swedish Police force sound like a bungling batch of dim wits. I just couldn't finish it.
The narrator was terrific. I know it sounds like a dull subject but it wasn't and the narrator truly helped it to be showcased well. I learned a great deal and just might listen to it again in the future.
The "Tough Guy" narrator got on my nerves and I couldn't even get past a few chapters. Listen to the sample first, it might just be me.
As my title states, I had to get used to her voice and reading style. As the story became more and more engrossing and her strength of endurance extends further into the story, her voice becomes a marked contrast to her indomitable strength. This story will stay with me.
I did not expect to enjoy a modern day vampire story. It is well done and the reader is very good. It has a new twist to being a vamp. I will be looking for further books by this author.
I could not finish this. I found no redeeming or good reason to continue to read about a life dedicated to buying more and bigger. I guess it's a book about a life completely out of balance and self centered.
