The narrator was great. For the first time I felt all the voices were right, especially Will's. C.Clare's obvious love of words and poetry come out more in this book than the others I think.
I must admit Will is my favorite. How could you not love him?
He got Will and Cecily's Welch voices just right.
I do not want to give anything away, but I was a bit scared to listen to this last one for fear of what C. Clare would do with theres characters - I need not have been worried. I thought this was the most romantic of the 3, which I personally loved......but I did wonder what happened to Bridgette??
This is a good story, but wow were there a lot of contradictions. One minute Tris absolutely one way and the next she's the opposite. One minute she's masquerading as an Ameity, and totally fools a guard, and the next she's reflecting on how her tattoos show in her Ameity dress.??...so how did she fool the guard? The whole book is full of these kinds of contradictions, with a big one at the end that I will not reveal as it would be a spoiler. I like the characters, but I was frustrated and confused with Tris's roller coaster thoughts and actions, but maybe that is because she is so Divergent :) and with the many contradictions. In general, I thought this second book was not as thought out and cohesive as the first.
She did a good job with differentiating between characters.
These books are good entertainment if you do not pay too close attention to what is actually happening, or wonder which faction forges the steel to make the guns, or why,if they have computer and network technology, haven't they hooked up a telephone, etc... but I very much enjoyed both books, and will listen to the third and hope for a bit less violence, and a bit more romance.
