My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy - a school of myths, magic, and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest. But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things.

I love Estep's story telling. She has the ability to tell a good story from a great perspective.

This is the beginning of a new YA mythology series. I love mythology- and and strangely attracted to series that take place at a boarding school. So I was bound to love this story. I think Gwen is a great MC, she's spunky and fun, but a little hard on herself (as are a lot of 16 year old girls)

My one issue is that I solved the mystery a little too quickly. It didn't really bother me though, because there is an overlying series mystery that I'm still guessing at.

Venice, early 1800's. Isabella Tenderini, a wealthy merchant's widow rescues a stranger from drowning in one of Venice's canals. And how does the man repay her selfless act? By kissing her - her, a respectable woman. Not only is Raphael di Santori grateful for his life being saved, he would also like to thank his rescuer very intimately - more intimately than decorum allows. But then, Raphael has never been one to play by the rules - as a vampire he doesn't have to.

Anyone who saw an episode of Saturday Night Live between 1999 and 2006 knows Rachel Dratch. She was hilarious! So what happened to her? After a misbegotten part as Jenna on the pilot of 30 Rock, Dratch was only getting offered roles as "Lesbians. Secretaries. Sometimes secretaries who are lesbians." Her career at a low point, Dratch suddenly had time for yoga, dog- sitting, learning Spanish - and dating. After all, what did a forty-something single woman living in New York have to lose?

I loved the beginning of the book, but it lost a little bit of steam towards the end. The struggling comedienne stuff was pretty funny and she is a terrific narrator. The starting family stuff was less funny, but sweet and enjoyable.

Looking for a fresh start, Peyton Clark becomes the proud owner of a piece of New Orleans history: an Antebellum-era two-story house in the Garden District. It’s going to take time and a fat wallet to restore the fixer-upper to its former glory, but after her recent divorce, Peyton could use the distraction. It’s not long before Peyton discovers she’s moved into the haunted home of a flirtatious paranormal prankster.

I liked Mallory's Jolie Wilkins series, and the first half of the Dulcie O'Neil books.

I thought this was much better than the others. Its contemporary with some ghosts instead of a completely different paranormal world, which was nice. It wasn't quite so over the top and the romance didn't feel forced.

But even though Merit has had wild adventures, this may be her deadliest yet. A killer is stalking Chicago, preying on humans and leaving his victims with magical souvenirs. People start dropping dead around Charlie, giant ravens perch on his building, and it seems that everywhere he goes, a dark presence whispers to him from under the streets. Strange names start appearing on his nightstand notepad, and before he knows it, those people end up dead, too. Yup, it seems that Charlie Asher has been recruited for a new job, an unpleasant but utterly necessary one: Death.

From his bio "Christopher Moore (born 1957 in Toledo, Ohio) is an American writer of absurdist fiction".

If you aren't familiar with Moore's work, get familiar. Just remember that its all absolutely absurd. Though my favorite with always be Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, this book was a winner. An ordinary man becomes a soul merchant in the blink of an eye and has NO IDEA what's going on. Saving you a synopsis, I can tell you that this was funny and absurd and I didn't want to turn it off. Very enjoyable.

John Charming isn't your average prince... He comes from a line of Charmings - an illustrious family of dragon slayers, witch-finders and killers dating back to before the fall of Rome. Trained by a modern day version of the Knights Templar, monster hunters who have updated their methods from chain mail and crossbows to Kevlar and shotguns, John Charming was one of the best-until a curse made him one of the abominations the Knights were sworn to hunt.

There were time that I actually laughed out loud. And there were times that I was confused, and times that I had to rewind to make sure I didn't miss anything. When James gets some of his writing ironed out, this series is going to be amazing.

You are reading this on a screen. You have First World Problems. First World Problems: 101 Reasons Why The Terrorists Hate Us is a collection of short humorous essays and rants from a man who knows suffering. It is comedy that borders on tragedy. What are First World Problems? A First World Problem is a trivial issue that afflicts people in wealthier nations declared to be in the "First World".

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they've ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated - vampires from humans - they realize that the changes definitely aren't for the better. It seems that an organization called the Daylight Foundation has offered the population of Morganville something they've never had: Hope of a vampire-free future.

This is the (for now) LAST installment of the Morganville vamps. And while I hate to say good bye to the gang (read: Shane) I am actually really glad that they can be happy and just settle down for a change. The four of them deserve a normal life. And while I probably wouldn't have made some of the same choices they did (I don't want roommates forever) I'm pretty happy with the way the series turned out.

He was tall, at least six feet, with dirty blond hair that hung over his eyes. His T-shirt read Nietzsche Is My Homeboy. So, that was Matt. Who Julie Seagles likes. A lot. But there is also Finn. Who she flat out loves. Complicated? Awkward? Completely. But really, how was this freshly-minted Boston transplant and newbie college freshman supposed to know that she would end up living with the family of an old friend of her mother’s? This was all supposed to be temporary.

Over all, I really enjoyed this. There were some heart fluttering moments, really funny moments, quirky characters and just a general good time.

However, some of the humor fell flat, Julie had some really bitchy and annoying moments, and the plot was (at least for me) fairly predictable. But it was still enjoyable and will read the others.

The selection began with 35 girls. Now, with the group narrowed down to the Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon's love is fiercer than ever. The closer America gets to the crown, the more she struggles to figure out where her heart truly lies. Each moment she spends with Maxon is like a fairy tale, filled with breathless, glittering romance. But whenever she sees her first love, Aspen, standing guard, she's swept up in longing for the life they'd planned to share.

This is definitely YA. Love triangle, ansgty stupid girl who, if she'd just stopped to ask or actually talk about what she saw, there would have been a lot less drama, YA.

I like the story- which is odd, because I hate 'The Bachelor' love dating shows (which this basically is), am not the hugest fan of dystopian (which this is) and love triangles make me want to put my nails down a chalkboard. But for some reason, it works.
