I bought this after seeing all of the good reviews, but I was disappointed. It's a long book, and not much happens until the end. It's very drawn out and too slow for my tastes - it didn't hold my interest.

I tried for about 2 hrs hoping it would get better, that something, anything would happen and it would pick up, but no such luck and I had to give up. It's was mainly inner dialogue and I don't remember the first one feeling so tedious. I cannot recommend.

I read the hype about it and ordered it as soon as it came out. This book did not hold my attention and I'll be returning it. I normally like YA but this was too young - maybe for a 14 year old. I will not be continuing the series.

Even at a camp for supernatural teens, Kylie Galen has never been normal. Not only can she see ghosts, but she doesn’t seem to belong to any one species - she exhibits traits from them all. As Kylie struggles to unlock the secrets of her identity, she begins to worry that Lucas will never be able to accept her for what she is, and what she isn’t…a werewolf. With his pack standing in their way, Kylie finds herself turning more and more to Derek, the only person in her life who’s willing to accept the impossible.

This was a dissapointing fourth book - nothing really happens the first 2/3 of the book and was quite boring and listening to all of the mundane details and filler inner dialogue of Kylee was annoying - it was apparent the author was trying to stretch the series out and didn't have enough material. It was so bad that I'm not going to take a risk on the 5th book in case it's no better. The narrator does a good job, but couldn't save the boring book. I do not recommend it.

Recovering witch Garnet Lacey owns Wisconsin's premier occult bookstore. And a fringe benefit of the job is getting customers like Sebastian Von Traum - piercing brown eyes, a sexy accent, and a killer body. The only thing missing is an aura. Which means he's dead. And that means trouble - something Garnet's a sucker for....

So many of us call ourselves animal lovers and worship our dogs and cats - but we could be using that love as a force for helping all animals. Beg is a battle cry on their behalf, as well as an inspirational, empowering guide to what we can do to help them. With the same no-nonsense tone that made Skinny Bitch a multi-million copy success, Beg galvanizes us to change our choices and actions, and to love animals in a radical new way.

The description is kind of vague, I thought this would be a nice animal story... It's not, it's just the author trying to educate people on the importance of spaying and rescuing vs buying, etc. Sure the premise is good, but for educated and responsible dog owners such as myself (and the author), it's nothing we don't know so it's quite boring. Please note I stopped at a little over an hour once she moved on to animal testing as I didn't care to hear more things I already knew about...

Meet Anita Thompson: she's young, she's lovely, she's clever, and she's a witch. A real one. Anita lives in two worlds: the modern world of supermarkets and sports cars, radio and rock-and-roll, where she is a thoroughly modern girl with a thoroughly modern interest in boys and fast living and her own independence. But she also lives in the ancient and rustic world of traditions, cauldrons, and familiars.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

First of all, the narrator reads very fast, I had to change the audiobook setting on my ipod to slow - it made the voices a little distorted, but at least the rhythm was more normal then.

The book was original and grabbed my interest toward the very end, but I don't know if it was worth it because of how long it took to even start to get to the interesting part, even then, events unfolded very slowly.

What was most disappointing about E L James’s story?

I don't understand how this is a bestseller! After reading reviews elsewhere (too bad it was after I bought this book), I see it's a piece of fanfiction! I can't say I'm surprised. The editing seems to be non-existant, it has an underdeveloped plot and characters, and the sex scenes, while graphic, somehow managed to fall flat.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fifty Shades of Grey?

I would LOVE to play editor, as I don't think this book had one!! She says "Oh my!" "Holy crap!" or uses the word "clamber" way too much. They are always clambering into a car or clambering out of bed or clambering up the steps... very strange and it drove me crazy.

I didn't realize this was more of a kids book - I would think for a girl in middle school...
