One of the greatest minds in American writing, Kurt Vonnegut shares his often hilarious and always insightful reflections on America, art, politics and life in general. No matter the subject, Vonnegut will have you considering perspectives you may never have regarded. On the creative process: "If you want to really hurt your parents...the least you can do is go into the arts. I'm not kidding."

This is a 2 hour rant on how horrible everything about America is, and how much better we would be as socialists.... I am a conservative, and found only about 15 minutes of redeeming value in the 120 plus minutes of America/Capitalism bashing...

Crysania, a beautiful and devoted cleric of Paladine, tries to use her faith to lead Raistlin from the darkness. She is blind to his shadowed designs, and he draws her slowly into his neatly woven trap. If you purchased this or any book on Audible, and like the reader, be aware that, unless you download and save your purchase, Audible can and has replaced books with an alternate reader at their whim. This is true of the Chronicles series. I bought the books when they came out. All read by Ax Norman. I like to have all of the books in a series read by the same reader, so the names and voices all sound the same. Audible has STOLEN my books and replaced them with the new reader. So if you enjoy the reader... please download and save your books. Audible says you own them... but their actions say differently. Calling customer care, all they tell me is I can get my money back.... I don't want my money I want what I paid for, what I purchased...

Whit and Wisty Allgood have sacrificed everything to lead the resistance against the merciless totalitarian regime that governs their world. Its supreme leader, The One Who Is The One, has banned everything they hold dear: books, music, art, and imagination. But the growing strength of the siblings' magic hasn't been enough to stop the One's evil rampage, and now he's executed the only family they had left. Wisty knows that the time has finally come for her to face The One. But her fight and her fire only channel more power to this already invincible being.

What disappointed you about Witch & Wizard: The Fire?

The story, plot, dialogue, and descriptions all seem to be written by a teenager. Slang like "rock out" and other teenage rebellion imagry distracted from the overall story. A couple of times during the story I had to stop becuase I was loosing interest in the dialogue.

    Any additional comments?

I was excited to listen to Elijah Wood read James Patterson...very disapointing. The readers did OK with a sub par script.
