For more than half a century, Americans have been captivated by the Kennedys - their joy and heartbreak, tragedy and triumph, the dark side and the remarkable achievements. In this ambitious and sweeping account, Taraborrelli continues the family chronicle begun with his best-selling Jackie, Ethel, Joan and provides a behind-the-scenes look at the years "after Camelot."

I do not think that I have ever gotten myself so wrapped up in a book like I did this one. I am only 24, and I knew almost nothing about this family (other that what I learned in history class) and decided to give this book a try. Within the first few minutes, I was hooked. The author did a wonderful job with the information and I had to keep reminding myself that this was (and still is) a REAL family in history because the story was so intriguing! I may not agree with some (Okay, being honest.. MOST) of the decisions that this family made, but I cannot deny that this was most definitely the most interesting family in US History. I am so impressed with this book that I almost do not want to read another one on the same subject because I do not think another author could do this family justice as well as J. Randy Taraborrelli! *GREAT BOOK!*

Private, the world's most renowned investigation firm, has been commissioned to provide security for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Its agents are the smartest, fastest, and most technologically advanced in the world, and 400 of them have been transferred to London to protect more than 10,000 competitors who represent more than 200 countries. The opening ceremony is hours away when Private investigator and single father of twins, Peter Knight, is called to the scene of a ruthless murder: a high-ranking member of the games' organizing committee has been killed.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Not sure. The narrator turned me off so bad I feel like I don't want to subject anyone else to it...

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He REALLY got on my nerves. He makes Jack (The American) sound like a robot!

    Any additional comments?

The story was slow for the first third of the book, but came together quickly after that and kept my attention. I HATED the narrator though, he almost caused me to stop listening! His accent got on my nerves, and his attempt at an American accent ended up sounding like a robot. It's a great story though, as long as you can ignore the narrator...

Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened - something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable.

Betsy says: "Ditto - Don't waste your credit."

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Absolutely!

    Any additional comments?

Personally, all of the negative reviews are what made me want to write this... This was an excellent story & I hated that I could not listen to it all at once! It kept me wanting more & the narrator was spectacular! Please do not let the negative reviews turn you away... It is definitely worth a credit AND your time!!
