This book takes us into the life of Mma Makutsi. She seems like a person I want to feel sorry for, and then she opens her mouth, and I don't any longer. Well in this book, she truly comes into her own. She's strong, takes risks, and finds love.
I'm truly enjoying these books.
I have been struggling in my prayer life, and this book helped to put me on track. I now have prayer cards. I still don't pray every day, but I prayer more sincere prayers from my heart. And, I'm much better now at confessing my sins.
I highly recommend this book!
The first book I ever read that had multiple points of view was "Disappearing Act" by Terry McMillian. I loved the story because I got to see the story from each persons point of view. There are FOUR points of view in this story. Each person - just as in life - has their own point of view, and their own life situations going on, and yet their story intersect, and the author did a great job in keeping me interested in the hardships. It funny because at a certain point, just like the main character - Jessie, I forgot what she did too, until the moment in the book when it was discovered.
Very entertaining, and thankful that the sex scenes weren't explicit. Jojo Moyes wrote enough that I was able to fill in the rest with my imagination, just the way a book should be; I think!
Where has Molly been all my life? This book has been more than I thought it would be! I like mysteries that give you hints, without revealing the murder until the last minute! This book has delivered for me. :)
I truly enjoyed this book. The narration and all! The end seemed a little jammed pack to tie up all loose ends.
I picked this title during a buy three for two sale, because the title is what struck me as catchy; and the art work was fun looking too! So, I said what the heck, it's a sale. I enjoyed the story. The narrator wasn't horrible, but all of her men sounded a like. And maybe it was my Kindle, but her voice would change mid character. Anyway, it was a small distraction, but the story was very engaging and cute. I recommend it for a day you want a light read! (Or listen - whichever you call it.)
Wow! I'm not really sure where to start. This book was my sister's pick, and she did a good job. So, the story starts with a punch in the gut, so pay attention. Then it slows down and builds gradually.
It's so funny bc I thought I knew what turns were going to happen next, and was completely shocked by what turns did happen. Even the cast of readers surprises you as you read along getting used to just the one reader, and boom a different voice. Oh you are going to enjoy this book!
This will be a book I will read again and again! I highly recommend it.
Today everyone equates romance to sleeping with the president. However this story is a real romance. There are a few types of love displayed throughout this tale: brotherly affection, parental love, young love that grows into a deep passion, sincere friendship, and sadly unrequited love.
Mary Shelley included it all in this well organized, detailed account of creation of the monster that just desperately wanted to be loved. Dan Stevens, please read more books! He did a fantastic job of given each character a distinct voice, and the monster sounded just like I thought he should. I highly recommend this book!
This book reads just the others. The movie was great, and I wanted to read book 2 before I went to see the movie. I don't think I will. I will only invest in the Heroes series, and just see these movies.
So far (after only two weeks), I've lost 7lbs 1.5" from my waist, and .5" from my hips! :) I can't express my happiness since NOTHING else has done it for me. I'm looking forward to actually hitting my ideal weight!
This has been the longest series I've read yet. The people all feel so real I want to travel to Botswana to meet them all.
