I've read all Kresley Cole's books, at least twice, and Sebastian is my favorite vampire. I am so happy with the choice of narrator for her books. Robert Petkoff's portrayal of the vampires with their Estonian accents was perfect, as was the Scottish brogue of the werewolves, and he even caught the sassiness of the Valkeries. Not overdone. Thank you for putting these books on audio, and for using such a talented narrator.
The humanity Patricia Briggs gives her characters in my opinion, has not been equaled by any other writer in this genre, and add to that the character range of Holter Graham... Takes my breath away. I loved this story, it's my favorite series by Briggs. We get to know the complicated Charles and Brother Wolf, his dimensions revealed to us in a way that never resorts to making her characters oblivious to what is more than obvious to the reader. This makes her characters smart. We also get to watch Anna become stronger, and move past her insecurities. I love that Patricia doesn't resort to making Anna pathetic, which many authors would use, just because it's just easier. This is an inspirational story.
I've read every book written by Patricia Briggs at least twice, and have listened to all her audio books until this one. I found Ms Bradshaw's narration irritating, so much so that i couldn't listen to the book. It seemed she was trying too hard to make her voice smooth and husky instead of using a natural tone. If not for that, I might have been able to listen to the characters because they didn't seem too bad at first, and I thought once she got into the book, they'd only improve. Unfortunately, I found myself grinding my teeth at her narrator's voice. Disappointing.
I don't consider listening to books
Well.... I guess I didn't want to miss a chapter of the Psy/Changeling series, but I was uncomfortable with the
