Sylvia Browne provides a new and surprisingly convincing perspective on the life of Jesus and his teachings. While I was studying religion at college, there were several stories about Jesus and his life, as told by the New Testament, that did not ring true to me. Therefore, I was inclined to dismiss the claim that Jesus ever existed. Browne's account of his life, however, rings true and she provides a down to earth and much more believable account of his life. She also emphasizes the most important elements of Jesus' message, which have sadly been forgotten by many Christians today. A good and interesting listen you shouldn't miss!
I would recommend this audiobook because it was both highly informative and entertaining at the same time. Prof. Anne Curzan has indeed made a great series of lessons on this topic. But since I have studied some linguistics before, I found the content a little too basic for my needs. It did, however, provide me with some much needed repetition.
I found the story realistic, moving and interesting.
The part where Will Trainer comes to Lou's house for her birthday dinner.
All of the characters were wonderful, but if I had to choose one it would have to be Will Trainer. I like his determination and dry wit.
