I wanted love this book, as a dog lover. I thought it came out of the gate strong and the dog's perspective was sweet and believable. But as the book goes on I became less convinced that the dog was narrating and the story took some turns that changed the overarching theme to something kind of ugly. It wraps up nicely but the middle became just too convoluted for me and left me wondering if the book would ever return to the poignant tone of the beginning. It did, all too briefly.
I enjoyed every word and chapter written and read by Rob Lowe. I found myself remembering many of the movies and stories and loved hearing how his career and life started, and where it all took him. I am a huge fan, more now than ever. Thank you for an honest and entertaining peek into your life, Mr. Lowe. You are a class act.
