Detective Alex Cross and Bree's wedding plans are put on hold when Alex is called to the scene of the perfectly executed assassination of two of Washington D.C.'s most corrupt: a dirty congressmen and a scheming lobbyist. Next, the elusive marksman begins picking off other crooked politicians, sparking a blaze of theories - is the marksman a hero or a vigilante? The case explodes and FBI agent Max Siegel battles Alex for jurisdiction.

    "Bad choice for narrator"
    Overall

I like Andre Braugher but NOT in this venue. He reads too fast and it distracts from the content. I am not sure I will make it through the entire book and that is sad. I love the Alex Cross series but feel I wasted a credit on this book. Changing the reader so drastically is disconcerting at best. Sorry Mr. Braugher, keep doing what you are great at - acting and leave the narration to those who do a much better job.
