I love these books, not because of Sophie's sleuthing skills (she doesn't have any) but because of the strong, dynamic characters. Sophie's primary investigation skills are getting into the middle of things and messing them up, she's a pathological liar, constantly fights with her boyfriend and has a tendency to do exactly what she shouldn't because someone pissed her off. In short, she could easily be a real woman. I don't think these books would suffer a bit if there was no murder, but there is and the villain is never straight-forward.
The scene where they catch the killer.
Anatoly opening up to Sophie after their fight.
Yes. I had to force myself to go to bed.
Listen to the series sequentially because they're all great books.
Detailed, emotional, & riveting
It was just a good book. Very detailed and keeps you at the edge of your seat!
Great voices. Puts great emotion and feeling into his performance. To me, it sounds like I was listening to the movie.
Laughed a fair amount. Didn't like going into dark places for a while.
