Darkness has descended on the Shadowhunter world. Chaos and destruction overwhelm the Nephilim as Clary, Jace, Simon, and their friends band together to fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother. Nothing in this world can defeat Sebastian - but if they journey to the realm of demons, they just might have a chance.... Lives will be lost, love sacrificed, and the whole world will change. Who will survive the explosive sixth and final installment of the Mortal Instruments series?

What made the experience of listening to City of Heavenly Fire the most enjoyable?

The story itself was very entertaining.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner ’s performances?

Neither. I will sometimes pick a book based on the narrator, but this was awful. Jason was just ok. Sophie was another story, I adore her character Sansa on Game of Thrones, but will never choose to listen to a book based on her being the narrator ever. I found her voice to almost sound nasal at times.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

I know this is the last for this series, but for the new series being written, please a I beg you, choose one of the original narrators from this series or the infernal devices. If narration is with these 2 I will likely not purchase the audiobook, I just don't have time to sit down and read the hard copy.

Don't miss The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, soon to be a major motion picture, in theaters August 2013. Danger intensifies for the Shadowhunters as the New York Times best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy comes to a close. If the only way to save the world was to destroy what you loved most, would you do it? The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose. Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment. Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy.

This is her best book yet. I have really enjoyed The Infernal Devices series. Her Mortal Instrument series left me torn on how I felt about it, but this series was captivating and I will indeed be rereading it again.

Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up a bewitched alchemical manuscript in the course of her research. Descended from an old and distinguished line of witches, Diana wants nothing to do with sorcery; so after a furtive glance and a few notes, she banishes the book to the stacks. But her discovery sets a fantastical underworld stirring, and a horde of daemons, witches, and vampires soon descends upon the library.
