Good entertaining read and enjoyed it all the way through. I plan to pre-order Book 3 because I am enjoying the series so much. Highly recommend for anyone who likes entertaining books with only mild violence (it does have some violence but no graphic details), a little romance (mostly just the occasional kiss), and a good story line. I would rate it PG-13 and did not have any issues listening to it with my young daughters in the car, only turning it down low occasionally. Only gave it 4 stars because I reserve 5 stars for those books that I could listen to over and over again.

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Enjoyed listening to it. No real bad language or mature content, but could be mildly scary towards the end for little ones to overhear.

3 Stars - average. It was good 1 time read for me, but I can't say I would ever listen to it again. It had lots of rave reviews so probably just not my kind of book. I think Neil Gaiman is just not for me because The Ocean at the End of the Lane wasn't my kind of listen either. The writing was good it just didn't keep my attention for about 1/4 of the book I tuned out. Some bad language and the beginning has one section that you probably wouldn't want kids to overhear, but that is about it as far as kids in the car.

Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time® burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, listeners have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over 40 million copies in over 32 languages. When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork.

Good series. Probably not something I would listen to again. Enjoyed the first few books in the series and then the last few books. The middle part of series seemed to drag on and on. No graphic violence, no bad language, no mushy details - you could listen to it with kids in the car without being concerned about what they will hear.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Loved every minute of it, but the ending. The ending left me saying "What?". I was entertained through the entire story and never wanted to stop listening. The book did contain some language and just a few sections that you wouldn't want kids to hear in case you have little ones traveling with you.

A middle-aged man returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He is drawn to the farm at the end of the road, where, when he was seven, he encountered a most remarkable girl, Lettie Hempstock. Forty years earlier, a man committed suicide in a stolen car at this farm at the end of the road. Like a fuse on a firework, his death lit a touchpaper. The darkness was unleashed, something scary and thoroughly incomprehensible to a little boy. And Lettie - magical, comforting, wise beyond her years - promised to protect him, no matter what.

It was worth listening to, but not anything that I would ever feel compelled to listen to again. Glad that I got it on sale versus using one of my credits. It was only 3 stars for me - I reserve 4 stars for great books and 5 stars for those books that I could listen to again and again. It was an interesting book that kept my attention throughout the entire book with good writing and great narration, but at the end of the book I thought to myself "That is it?"

Jungles come in many forms. There are the steamy rain forests of the Burmese highlands. There are the lies and betrayals of the world of covert operations. And there are the dark and twisted thoughts of a man bent on near-global domination. To pull off their latest mission, Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon must survive them all.

Good listen. My first Cussler book and I will listen to more now. It kept my attention throughout the entire book. It didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, but it was a good steady book and I did not find myself tuning out at any point. It was enjoyable and I would recommend the listen. You can listen to it with kids in the vehicle as well, no graphic violence and no dancing in the sheets.

The Wheel of Time turns and ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the age that gave it birth returns again. For centuries, gleemen have told the tales of The Great Hunt of the Horn. So many tales about each of the Hunters, and so many Hunters to tell of. Now, the Horn itself is found: the Horn of Valere long thought only legend, the Horn which will raise the dead heroes of the ages.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Don't be scared off by the books summary which starts with a "tell of sorrow". I put off listening to this book for 2 years simply because I thought it was going to be this super sad story. Not true at all. I must admit that I had to listen to the first 2 hours multiple times because I kept loosing interest and would miss parts, but really it is only setting the stage for the storytelling that is about to take place. It is like sitting around a campfire listening to a friend tell you their life story. It is not edge of seat 24/7, but it is steady entertaining story that truly keeps you engrossed throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. And honestly I can't give you any other book for comparison because it is unique, but I can tell you that you will not be disappointed. For those parents out there that might want to listen to it with kids in the car that might hear some of it - there is no bad language, no under the covers content nor really any reference to anything like that at all, no graphic violence.
