I've always been a Maggie Shayne fan, but Christian Rummel really brought it to life. The voice made the story all the better and kept me interested through the entire story.
The story seemed to really drag on, definitely not one of Diana Palmer's best efforts. Phil Gigante has a smooth, soothing voice and really pulled off the different male characters beautifully. However, he tried to make his voice somewhat higher pitched for the female voices and it just didn't flow. Everytime he spoke in a woman's voice my jaw clenched with irritation. All in all, it's 8 hours of my life that I will never get back.
The story is fantastic. The reader sounds young and it takes away from the story slightly. But overall, the story is good enough to carry on it's own.
